More Outcast casting news

More Outcast casting news has come out from Skybound.com.

From Skybound.com

A couple weeks ago we announced the stars of the upcoming TV pilot of Outcast by Robert Kirkman and Paul Azaceta, well today we can pad that out with some more big cast members! Joining Patrick Fugit, Philip Glenister, and Gabriel Bateman are:
Wrenn Schmidt from Boardwalk Empire, The Americans, Our Idiot Brother, and more. Wrenn is Megan, Kyle’s sister. Look for Megan to help shed light on her and Kyle’s dark past as she tries to help her tortured brother.
Julia Crockett from Law & Order: Criminal Intent. She’ll be playing Kyle’s mother. We won’t say too much about it but it other than we hope Julia’s good at playing crazy. Get your popcorn ready.
Allison Barnes from Let It Shine. Another relative new-comer, Allison will play Kyle’s ex and mother of their daughter. What really went down between Kyle and her? Does she even realize what’s special about Kyle?
Kip Pardue from Ray Donovan, Driven, Remember the Titans and more. Kip has the role of Mark Holter, Kyle’s brother-in-law and local police officer. Given Kyle and his sisters’ past and the weirdness Kyle is about to get involved in, this should be a really interesting role.
Reg E. Cathy from The Wire (!!! Of course!), House of Cards, Banshee, St Vincent, and more. Reg will be playing a member of Reverend Anderson’s poker circle.
What do you guys think about this casting? I’m really liking how they’re filling out the cast and the peripheral story. We’re SUPER excited for this! The Hollywood Reporter has more details!

The cast is starting to really flesh out on Outcast , copies can be found starting at cover for the sold out Outcast #1 on ebay.

  1. Well, we definitely know the show will eventually go it’s own direction from the comic since we’re only on issue 5, the show will be out when Outcast is around issue 20 or so (I’m just guesstimating on when a show is cast, written and then filmed, then aired) and then the show quickly surpasses the comic timeline. It’ll be interesting to watch for sure. Hopefully the show is good, I hate saying it but the story in the comic, if it doesn’t start moving more quickly, I’m finding myself less interested in it. It’s been quickly shoved to the bottom of the what to read first when it does come out..

  2. It did take TWD five years from announcement to get on the screen yet this one seams to moving along much quicker. I dropped it after issue 3 myself, very well written yet not for me.

    1. Yep. I know from my wife working on TV shows, they can cast, they can film and then you still never see it. 🙂

  3. Outcast can be found for cover, i can’t believe theres people not buying this to sell later!!!!! im not saying your going to make WD #1 money, but if you buy it for cover you are definitely going to make some good money
