Comics Picks of the Week for Delivery 11/26/14

Each week hundreds of new comics hit the stands, each one with potential. Some of them live up to that potential. Each week we pick the ones we think have the best shot of heating up. Here are our picks of the week for delivery 11/26/14.
Let’s just jump right in…
The Pick of the Week
Toe Tag Riot– This book has it all for me. Zombies, Punk Rock, plus a small press publisher which will mean a small print run. This one might not be for everyone. There are a few variants on it, including a Third Eye Variant a Phantom Variant and a Ramones tribute Black and White Phantom Variant
The Small Press Gem:
Shadow Show #1 Joe Hill doing a tribute to Ray Bradbury. Also, Charles Paul Wilson III doing art. Also, Lake Champlain’s Champy. Pretty cool.
The returning Favorite:
Enormous #5– This has been one of the hottest series of the year. Very small press, low print runs. I think big things are still on the horizon for the book.
The New Image #1:
ODYC #1– Yeah, new Image series, we have heard it before. They are always worth picking up. Some are hits, some are misses (Intersect) but always worth a shot. Plus this one is Matt Fraction written.
Also out this week and worth a look:
Capture Creatures #1 Cute all ages Pokemon like series.
Scarlet Spiders #1 Spider-verse continues. As much as I am anti-Marvel this has been fun.
Gotham by Midnight #1– Ben Templesmith art. Jim Corrigan investigating Gotham's supernatural underworld. Cool.
That's it for us this week. Let us know what you are spec-ing on this week.

  1. I’m just about done with Enoromous. It hasn’t been in previews for at least two months and that’s a huge turn off for me. Idk if it’s diamond, the publisher or the creative team but I don’t like waiting for months to be able to order a book I enjoy.

      1. That’s what I keep reading as well. Diamond is the one holding them back. It could be worse, it could be Jupiter’s Legacy where we’re suppose to see 6 per year and it was rumored to run around 10-12 issues and we’ve only seen 4 issues in 2 years now. 😉
