The Diamond Comics Advance Reorder List is a great speculator tool. It shows what books retailers are going back to get more of, in advance of their release. This week i all about the continuing emergence of Female Characters. We have seen this before with the “bad girl” and “good girl” trend, but this is different. The growth of female readership as well as interesting female characters is showing. We have Silk, Princess Leia, Jem, Spider-Gwen getting a fifth printing in EOSV 2, and more.

Looking forward to Big Man Plans and Descender personally. I think those will sell out.
I’m looking forward to Big Man Plans also. I added that to my pull as soon as it was available.
Looking forward to Red One myself. I hope Descender doesn’t disappoint. We all know the android fighting to survive in a world or universe where they are no longer wanted or outlawed can fall apart really quickly. It’s been done so many times, hopefully Lemire doesn’t let us down.
I’m still not feeling Leia and won’t be picking it up. I thought I might change my mind when it got closer to ship date but I’m passing.
I’m probably gonna pick up the regular cover for reading/checking out. I did pre-order the action figure variant (since I’m trying to get them all between Star Wars, Darth Vader and now Leia for the collection). Other than that, I’m not feeling it either but we’ll see how the first issue goes.
I’ve been known to show a weakness when the reviews hit and they’re better than expected. I was tempted because it’s only a mini series. I like mini series because I know I’ll get a conclusion and my out of pocket will be low.
Is Darth Vader a mini-series as well? I can’t seem to find whether it is or not. I’ve seen mentions of it as “ongoing” and “mini-series”..
I honestly don’t know. I’m under the impression at this point that it’s an ongoing but I’ve heard it referred to both ways also. I’m really leaning towards it being an ongoing since they were upfront about Leia being a mini series.
I wonder if they were playing it by ear. If sales were good then they would keep it going?
Darth Vader is good, I hope it’s ongoing. I’d likely continue to read it over Star Wars series.
Honestly I’m the opposite. If I had to choose one title I’d keep the Star Wars title over Darth Vader. I think it’s been a lot stronger so far. Not that Vader is bad of course, maybe i’m just a fan of Jason Aaron…..
Oh, don’t get me wrong, I lik’em both as well but I just love me some Darth Vader. š
