So the story has been building up to it. Starting with Issue #212, the first issue of the “Death of Snake-Eyes storyline, we knew he was on his way out. However, Snake-Eyes dies in this weeks GI Joe #213
.
No spoiler pictures but he goes out heroically.
But in his wake, a new Joe takes up the mantle. Throwdown, who is burned badly in the issue, picks up and wears the mask. So the apprentice becomes the teacher. Throwdown first appears in the Marvel GI Joe #29 (according to Comicvine) or GI Joe #30

Nice I was able to secure 1 copy of the 213. These copies where hard to find everywhere I called they where gone within the hr or two of the store being opened. So this copy is going into my personal collection. Hopefully Throwdown leaves up to the snake eyes name.
Yeah, I was actually able to secure 4 copies, 2 of each main covers. Couldn’t find the incentive one though.
