Umbrella Academy optioned as part of Dark Horse / Universal First Look

Just like we mentioned with Harrow County, Umbrella Academy has been optioned as part of Dark Horse Comic and Universal’s first look deal.

Coming from the same Variety Story as the Horrow County news, Umbrella Academy was announced as being optioned for tv.

Umbrella Academy first appears in the Umbrella Academy FCBD special before getting their own series in Umbrella Academy 1. There are also a couple of variants, including Special Edition Variant, that can be pricey.

“As the landscape of narrative storytelling evolves, Dark Horse is thrilled to be working in the golden age of television with Universal Cable Productions. Their creative team has embraced the spirit of the Dark Horse brand and we’re proud to be partnered with them,” added Dark Horse President and founder Mike Richardson.

Among the projects currently in development under the deal are “Harrow County,” “The Umbrella Academy,” “Back Up” and “Concrete.”
