Stories coming out now are that the character Night Nurse was to be on the Daredevil TV show but she was pulled for she was slated for something else. In an interview with Show Runner Steven S. DeKnight, he let it slip.

From Comic Book Resources:

“Really the only time that we got a ‘no’ is, originally, Rosario Dawson’s character had a different name,” he revealed. “She was going to be an actual Night Nurse from the comics, and the feature side, [of Marvel] had plans for her down the road. That’s the only time that I actually ran afoul of a — we couldn’t do something. And we just used another name, so — it’s the same character.”

So what are those Plans? It is being speculated she will appear in the Doctor Strange movie. Which would make Dr Strange The Oath #1 a play as she is featured heavily in the mini-series. Night Nurse first appeared in Night Nurse #1 from the 1970’s. SHe took on the role of the street vigilante commando nurse in Nightcrawler #1 (2004). NIght Nurse #1 is pricey but the Nightcrawler series is very cheap.

  1. I’ve seen a few websites pointing to Nightcrawler#1 as an integral appearance of Night Nurse, but will that even count? The “Night Nurse” seen in that issue is Christine Palmer, not Linda Carter. Linda Carter reappeared in the modern age in Daredevil#58, which was the first time she was actually called “Night Nurse” in-story. That issue came out in May of 2004. Nightcrawler#1 came out in November of 2004. Luckily, I already got a bunch of DD#58 back when we were speculating on White Tiger appearing in Daredevil, since it is also the 1st appearance of the Female White Tiger.
