Comics Picks of the Week for Delivery 6/10/15

Each week hundreds of new comics hit the shelves, each with potential. We pick the ones we think will have the best shot at heating up. Here are our picks of the week for delivery 6/10/15:

The one with the Walking and the Dead
Walking Dead #142– Let’s go ahead and just get this one out of the way. Media juggernaut, two television shows, video games, toys…. Fans go nuts. Each subsequent issue appreciates in value. Pick up two, seriously. There are two Walking Dead issues this month so you will not have to wait long. This picks up after that final scene of issue 141, they won’t leave you “hanging” I hope.
The new Image #1
Starve #1– New series from Brian Wood’s. Crazy, over the top, cooking action in your comic book pages. There is also a Starve #1 CBLDF Variant. This could be the one to grab.
The “What is a DC book doing on here?” one
John Constantine: Hellblazer #1– There was a time Hellblazer was good. Then not so good. Then bad. Riley Rossmo is bringing it back to it’s horror roots.
The “We did a DC we need to do a Marvel” one
Mrs. Deadpool and the Howling Commandos– Deadpool fans will want this Secret Wars Tie-In. Bet on it. It is obscure enough that it could be good. Throw in the Queen of the Monsters and her Army of Creatures and it could be a fun ride.
The small press gem of the week
21st Century Tank Girl– Now this is special for a reason, Jamie Hewlett is back on his signature character after a 20 year long break. In the mean time, he had helped launch the coolest cartoon band since Josie and the Pussycats, Gorillaz.
The pick of the week
Disciples #1– Media deal in place. Low print run from an indie publisher. Already selling for above cover price. What more can you want. You can still get Disciples #1 at cover price through this link.
