Boom! Studios' Imagine Agents Optioned, Michael Keaton set to produce and star

Boom Studios has been on fire since they signed the first look deal to have properties turned into movies Former Batman himself, Michael Keaton is set to star and produce the adaptation of the comic book for the big screen.
The Hollywood Reporter had the scoop on this one:

The actor, who was nominated for an Oscar for his work in Birdman in which he played an actor trying to escape his comic book hero past, is attached to star and produce Imagine Agents, an adaptation of a Boom! comic set up at Fox.
Producing along with Keaton are Michael Sugar of Anonymous Content and Ross Richie of Boom! Boom!’s Stephen Christy will exec produce with Anonymous Content’s Eli Selden and Doug Wald.
Fox recently closed the rights deal and is now out to writers to adapt the material.
Created by writer Brian Joines and artist Bachan, the story tackles the idea that the imaginary friends of children are actually very real and centers on an organization titled I.M.A.G.I.N.E., which handles things when these figments get out of control.
In Men In Black fashion, the comic tells of a jaded 20-year veteran agent who must mentor a young archivist, with a routine day becoming something much larger. The first issue came out in October 2013.

Copies of Imagine Agents #1 quickly were scooped up cheap. There are still sets which include Imagine Agents #1 available cheao, but don’t expect them to last as this kind of news causes buying frenzies on eBay. I know I have a set of them around here some where and just need to spend time digging them out and listing them.

  1. Got a complete set as well. Is it better to sell as soon as the news hits or wait till the movie is out. Especially if it’s a hit?

    1. Aaron, that is always the question. It is hard to pick the right time. Right now there are only a few sets up on ebay and they will go fast. You can name your price when there is little competition. I look at these as take the money while you can because the window for high prices is very slim. If it never gets made then you have missed the window completely. IF the movie does hit and is a success, then yes you have missed out.
