Harrow County Optioned as part of Dark Horse First Look Deal

We had this as a pick of the week on 5/13/15 for the reasons, I love a good horror story and Cullen Bunn is no stranger to TV options. Now, Variety has announced that Harrow County has been optioned for TV as part of a first look deal.

NM copies are available at Mycomicshop for about $6, will not last. Copies of Harrow County #1 start at around $2 on eBay, with copies of the Four Color Grail Variant starting at $12. There is one copy of the Heroes Con Variant starting at $14.95 buy-it-now. Copies of Issue 2 & 3 can be had for cover price or less.

Dark Horse Entertainment and Universal Cable Productions have signed a first-look deal to develop and produce scripted programming based on Dark Horse’s expansive comic book library, along with new properties, the two companies announced Tuesday.

In “Harrow County,” based on the book written by Cullen Bunn (“The Damned,” “The Sixth Gun”) and illustrated by Tyler Crook (“Bad Blood”), Emmy has always known that the deep, dark woods surrounding her home crawled with ghosts, goblins, and the restless dead. On the eve of her 18th birthday, she learns that she is connected to these creatures and to the land itself in a way she never imagined, for she is the reincarnation of a powerful witch who was put to death on the very day Emmy was born. For this reason, the townsfolk mean to kill her too. In order to survive, Emmy must embrace the unusual powers at her command.

  1. Still easily available at most local shops too, I’m sure they’ll get snagged up now. Grab’em while you can, could be an easy gamble that pays off later.
