This is rare in the new climate of Image doing massive overprinting to avoid selling out and going to second prints, but, Monstress #1 has sold out and is going to a second printing.
The new book by Marjorie M. Liu and art by Sana Takeda was an over sized 64 page book for $4.99, that was well received when it was released. So well received that it sold out at the distributor level. Now when we say books sell out, please remember this is at Diamond, which does not mean you will not be able to find them at your local comic shop, but once they sell out they will not be able to order more.

The last round I made at the LCS’s was most stacks were getting pretty thin as well. Also, since these were oversized, it was hard to find them in minty fresh condition. Most of my local shops seemed to have a large majority of them with spine creases.

Great world/myth building taking place within this 64 page tome of a comic. People will notice this comic more and more, I think, and that’s great for a comic, to build a loyal following. For collectors and speculators, I do agree with Agent Poyo that this is very hard to find in pristine condition because most copies I saw also had multiple spine tics, color breaks, dinged corners…so that makes hunting this comic even more fun!
The story of the book was ok, but the art was AMAZING!!!! I was fortunate enough to get a good copy cuz like you guys say, there where some bad copies.
