Aspen Store Michael Turner Harley Variants Up for sale.

WWW.ASPENSTORE.COM has their Michael Turner Harley Quinn #1 Turner variants up for sale. The Puddin Pack of all three covers seems to be sold out in less than 15 minutes but the others are still online.
Or for the time being that is….
With the three issue Puddin Pack already selling for $200, Color Variant selling for $55, and the Black and White Variant selling for close to $100, you know these will sell out quick.

Color are available limited two per customer at $14.99 each.

Sketch are available only in a two pack with the color variant, limited two per customer at $29.99 each.

The “Ultimate” variant, which looks like it has had some considerable doctoring done to was available, 1 per customer, only in a three pack with the regular and sketch cover, at $59.99. The ultimate cover implies that below Harley’s black and red hat, that pink and blue hair is stuffed into those two Pomm pomms.
So who got them?

  1. I got my Puddin Pack within 5 minutes. Learned from my last ordering of the Justice League Turner Variants.

  2. I *think* I did. It shows up in my account but I never got the confirmation email. I guess we’ll see!

  3. Got 2 of the sketch packs. Wasn’t a fan of the puddin’ pack ultimate variant. Like you said, looks doctored.

  4. I maxed all three options right before heading into a meeting. Phone buzzed while in the meeting and all 7 of my sketch and color copies sold while in the meeting-$320.00. Probably could have made more, but I’m a nice guy.
I kept the Ultimate, because it’s…well…..ultimate. and I kept one copy of the color because it’s as close to the original art of the three.
Getting Chad Hardin to sign the ultimate at Salt Lake Comic Con in September, then grading it. I’m pumped.

    1. Damn drunkwooky, I don’t know who your provider is but I’m jealous of that bandwidth… I could barley grab one set. Are you a wizard? Lol!

  5. Missed out. If anyone has an extra color one that they wanna sell at a reasonable price, let me know. I need one for the wife’s PC. Thank you.

  6. I was unable to get the colour variant that i oh so wanted. Sold out. Love me some classic Harley. Does anyone have a colour for sale that I can purchase before I head to the bay?

  7. Was able to get the 3 pack. My girlfriend had a three pack in her checkout box. She was entering her info and it kicked her out. Must have sold out right then. I agree with you guys about the 3rd book, but the public has spoken. Just saw a single copy of the hatless variant sell at auction for about $200. I guess it doesn’t matter if I like it. That’s the beauty of speculation. The demand will be there from all the Harley completists. Only 1000 printed…this will be the big winner out of the Harley variants

  8. Got 1 Pudding Pack. Curious to see final print runs on colors and sketches. I had been assuming they would be astronomical (along the lines of Legacy), but starting to have a feeling they are reasonably low.

  9. Got the pudding pack at like 12:02 est. I believe their website may have crashed for awhile shortly after because I couldn’t get back on it.

  10. I got the puddin’ (I think). Got charged for it anyway. The thing about that 3rd variant for me is the background and that it looks like the back of a bicycle playing card. That’s a nice background that stands out from all the other Harley variants out there. All three would look nice framed up on the wall.

  11. Doctored!! How is this even considered Turner’s art work this is a old Laura Croft Tombraider pinup by Turner recolored with a Harley head added by another artist.

    1. The sketch cover is one of Michal’s sketches. It was later on colored in and sold as a print in late 2008.

  12. That’s like if another artist were to draw Joker and Harley on the cover of Hulk 181 over Wolverine and Hulk and call it Harley #1 rebirth variant by Herb Trimpe.

    1. I guess we just don’t know the nature of Turner’s deal with Aspen. From a copyright perspective, he may have been totally ok with alterations–contractually and from a moral standpoint. I don’t think we should infer that they are offending his wishes or sensibilities.

  13. Got the low down on all these Turner variants. This is a Peter Steigerwald cover same with all the “Turner” covers that Aspen has put out and are putting out in the future Batman, Justice League, Amazing Spider-Man #15, Harley, Suicide Squad, All star Batman. These variants are not Turners work and should be labeled as Steigerwald variants. Sad Aspen comics has okie doked so many people into believing they are buying Turner artwork when it’s simply artwork drawn by Peter Steigerwald inspired by Michael Turner.

    1. Where exactly did this lowdown come from? You’re calling both Aspen and Steigerwald liars, so I hope you wouldn’t do so without being able to back up that claim.

      1. Not calling Aspen or Steigerwald liars both Aspens website and Steigerwald’s Facebook CLEARLY state the two artists doing the cover. My problem is with the 200 articles different spec sites have ran on these Turner covers which just like this article 3 mentions of Turner’s name not a single mention of Steigerwald. Is it coinceidental that spec sites have completely left out the living artist Steigerwald that is actually doing these covers and calling them Turner variants in every single write up. You think the second artists name would be just as important unless your trying to scalp these on eBay as Turner covers. Do you think Turner was a futurist who could see what Harley would look like ten years in the future? Do you think he rose from his grave to draw these covers for you so you can scalp them on eBay? Now as being the only of the Harley covers credited to two artists Which means Steigerwald looks at a Turner sketch draws up a cover based on the Sketch. That doesn’t mean the sketch is actually of that character in this case Harley. What you have are a bunch of C+ Steigerwald covers, your going to have to do a whole lot more convincing to convince me these are A+ masterpieces of art by late Michael Turner.

  14. Passed on these. Told myself only two variants of the oh so many varaints coming out and I stuck to my guns for a change!!! I chose the Dell Otto color and ASHLEY WITTER B&W variants and will be happy with them by gum!!! (I was shaking my fist as I wrote that last part)

    1. I don’t even know how many I’ve ordered anymore that’s very sad and the new one was presented to me today which I will show off later and probably be even more broke

      1. New one? Oh no!… I mean, cant wait to see it! Harely is on fire these days and if the new book sticks and isn’t re-booted again with new numbering in two years and actually lasts a good long while some of these variants will not only hold there value but continue to go up. I’m liking this new DC rebirth quite a bit but am also tired of re-boots. I want at least a 15 year run before another do-over!

  15. I just bought 1 standard color for my collection, I’m saving my money for SDCC exclusives and I’ve never been a fan of sketch covers (with some exceptions).

  16. Geez, if DC were ever to be in deep financial troubles, all they would have to do is roll out some Harley variants. They took my money as well with this one.
