Hillbilly #1 Gets Second Print and New Cover

Eric Powell’s hit indie series Hillbilly saw sell outs of the first issue quickly. And prices rose on the secondary market. Hillbilly #1 has gone back for a second print with an awesome new cover.
Appearing on the Diamond Website today is the second printing.
The print run for the first issue was around 10,000 copies sold. Most likely, the second print will have less copies printed and distributed.

Frankie’s Comics has these and the 2nd print #2’s up at a discount.

  1. After reading this would be an ongoing series and not a mini series, I became very bullish on Hillbilly. I’m going long, and have acquired several #1s, two of which are signed by Eric Powell. There’s still one left at 17.99 on eBay last I checked (for the signed ones). Anyway, this book passes all my tests for the next really big book.
The people at my LCS really line up for this one, and everyone shoots through the door straight to the H section. I haven’t seen something like this since a certain comic came out about zombies. Maybe it’s different for you guys, but that’s how it is where I live.
I’m buying the hype on this one.
    The book is GOOD.

    1. I love Eric Powell so copies have been going into my collection anyway. It’s odd because I found copies of 1 & 2 for a while even with prices rising and even with the hype on the book.

  2. New shop opened up this past weekend and had issue #1 & 2, picked up an extra 2 copies of each….Shop also had 10+ Uncanny Inhumans 1st prints

  3. I’m behind on reading but I’ve skimmed this one, it looks good. I’m definitely been buying them as I find them. Already sold some #1s as well. All my copies are or have been free now with some profit. 🙂

  4. mycomicshop.com has Hillbilly #2 first print back in stock. As well as Animosity #1. Both about double cover price, but they’re there if someone’s still looking for copies…
