Comicbookmovie.com had the spec on this one.

  1. Looks as though the “cheaper” 1:10 variants of ASM #4 are gone on Ebay, but as of writing this there are still a couple of NM copies on Mycomicshop.com for $48. What was a little high, price wise yesterday will probably seem like a bargain when/if this becomes official.

  2. Great, ASM 4 was one of those books I sold off and assumed to be dead about 9 months ago. Now I gotta go get another one!

  3. Not sure of the print run on ASM #4 but I do know it was over 100k for the standard cover. They will all go up but I would think the 1:10 and con variants would be the ones to get if you can find any at a good price. Pickins are starting to get slim on the cheaper ones though.

    1. Gwen is craptastic my money was always on Silk. Don’t get me wrong I made my money on Eosp 2 ty Gwen for the Spec boys paying outrages prices.

  4. Also noteworthy, Cindy Moon’s first actual appearance is in ASM #1, her first appearance as Silk is in #4.

    1. But we all know ASM #1 was a monster print run. I know most of my shops are still trying to unload those..

      1. thanks for that. Completely forgot about issue #1. The Alex Ross 1:75 variants are actually no very expensive. Picked up a NM for $14. might be better to grab some of the more limited variants over the regular covers if the price is right..

    2. This is true, although if memory serves, it’s actually the first appearance of Cindy’s ankle. But my god huge print on this one!

    3. Point well taken Poyo. We do see most of her form when she kneels and says “ah.”
I always made the argument for hulk 180 vs 181 afterall, for wolverines first app. He showed up and said something. Therefore he appeared.

  5. Great news I always thought Silk had more going on than Spider Gwen, plus the fact that I have a few of these and one 1:10 variant helps.

  6. I’ve said since the beginning, here and elsewhere, that silk will have more legs than spider gwen. I have multiple copies of multiple variants of Asm #4 and silk #1. I’m wondering if I should unload soon or keep holding. I honestly believe that silk will be around for a long, long time.

  7. Good article, thanks! But following on from discussion re: #1, so many variants out there, difficult to know what ones to pick up. Some here in the UK are literally a 2-3 pounds…

    1. Yeah, there are a ton! Try and find the most limited of them if you want to pick some up. That’s why I bought one Alex Ross 1:75 for a good price. With so many variants and #1 regular cover having soooo many printed, not sure if this will be all that good to spec on. I figured it was worth getting at least one for the pc and if it heats up beyond what I though at least I have one of the “good ones”.

      1. I just picked up an Alex Ross for equivalent of $13, plus a couple of other variants for $6 or $7 each. See how things are come the movie release and flip then or go for a longer term bet. If nothing else I’ll have some good looking covers in my collection! Unless I find a #4 variant in the wild, will probably have to stick with the standard cover, too expensive for me on ebay.

    2. Call around to see if the #4 variants are in the wild…I don’t think news of Cindy Moon/silk has made it to the majority of the mainstream audiences yet.. I don’t think the studio has even made it official yet (not sure on that one though). If/when they do, that is when we will see if the market really goes wild. Right now there has been a spike but I would think there are still some number 4 variants out there for halfway decent prices. Ya never know.

  8. I’ve always been on Team Silk. And quadrupled-down on her 1st appearances early-on. And bought extras of the $1 reprint book to share the love to others to read it! Silk is far more interesting to me than Spider-Gwen. Aside from Spider-Women, I haven’t read Spider-Gwen since the last issue of the first volume. My only issue with Silk is inconsistent artwork, but maybe Marvel will stop juggling artists soon if they intend to shift more focus onto her.

    1. I would think the Campell variant might have a smaller print run, but that is just a guess. That doesn’t always mean it will be the better versions to get. If you have them already or got them cheap either will be good to hold onto until it becomes official.

  9. By the way, has the studio made the announcement of Cindy Moon being in the film? I know the info was leaked but I haven’t found any official announcements yet. It certainly seems it is going to happen but I am just wondering if a press announcement made it official or not.

  10. I have the 1-10 variant signed by Ramos, Delgado, Slott and Quesada. Had it done at nycc 2 years ago. Along with the campbell variant signed by slott and campbell. I do hope this goes up! Although I never sell anything…just love to collect.
