Since his appearance on Marvel’s Agents of Shield, Robbie Reyes AKA Ghost Rider, has been getting a lot of love, including a new comic series. Comicbook.com had an interview with him where the idea of a Netflix show or a solo movie were discussed.

Ghost Rider has made a big comeback thanks to Agents of SHIELD season 4, with actor Gabriel Luna making the new Robbie Reyes version of The Rider a household name. Marvel fans have been so pleased with the reboot that there have been continuous calls to see the new Ghost Rider branch out wider into the Marvel Cinematic Universe – with the most common suggestion being that the character should headline his own Netflix series.
We here at Comicbook.com had the opportunity to speak with Gabriel Luna, and ask about whether a Ghost Rider getting his own Netflix series was even a possibility. According to Luna, it’s more than a possibility: there’s already structure in place to make it happen.
Regarding how Ghost Rider transitions from Agents of SHIELD to his own solo venture, Luna told us, “I don’t have a preference. People talk about ‘Ah man he’d be great as a feature,’ which is [an] idea too… It could be in the cinema, it could live on Netflix, whatever it is.”
Getting a little bit more concrete, Luna revealed to us that Marvel Studios has (of course) plotted out the potential for a new Ghost Rider franchise, and has those pathways already structured.
I’m guessing him, blade, and moon knight in a modern midnight sons.
That would be sweet.

ComicBook.com is one of the worst comic book news sites, and I’ve personally met one of their top contributors, who is an absolute [expletive]. You’ll notice that the only quote for Gabriel Luna does not give any evidence that a Ghost Rider feature or series is already in-the-works. That is only mentioned in the article-writer’s own words. Obviously plenty of sites are speculating on the future of Ghost Rider in the MCU, and proper attention is directed at his first appearance (which thankfully I bought-up back when sites were trashing them off at $1 each in 2015)… but a website dedicated to fan-fiction-as-news is not bringing anything concrete to the table with their vague supposed interview. If you really interviewed Gabriel Luna, would you only bother to include ONE SENTENCE from him and cut out the supposed meat of the content with an ellipsis (…) !?!
I agree on the heat of Robbie Reyes. I just despise ComicBook.com, and don’t believe anything I read there.

Yeah, speculating is fun, but my rule is if something that is “way out there” rumor wise, I will buy it only if it is cover price or lower or cheap overall…”IF” the news is more grounded the fun begins trying to find the lowest price before it picks up steam.
Maybe he bought a bunch of Ghost rider #1’s. That’s a good way to increase profits! 😉

The big thing isn’t Robbie it’s Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider who showed up on Agents of shield, since Agents is MCU continuity that is the MCU Ghost Rider. I would suspect the Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider gets his own Netflix show and Robbie stays on Agents and maybe cameos on the Ghost Rider show.
