About a month ago we ran a story talking about a notice from Boom! Studios sent to retailers through Diamond that they should order more copies of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #9 because there would be something new in it. Here is what is new:
Kyle Higgins had an interview with Comic Alliance and revealed a totally new Ranger. Take a peek.
Kyle Higgins has this to say:
I mean, I understand that line of thinking, sure. And I’d be lying if I didn’t say his design was intended to do that. Obviously, there are elements of the Green Ranger as well as the White Ranger — the real question is, what happened to allow that? Who is this person, where do they come from, and what happened on their world? I won’t say too much more about him at this point, other than his is a story I’m incredibly excited to start doling out. It’s a bit on the darker side, as far as Power Rangers goes, and a bit tragic. Or at least, I think it is.

Did anyone actually get any of these? I stopped spec’ing on Power Rangers a long time ago.
I saw them and didn’t bother picking up. There will be a stack at the shop for weeks. Most if not all of these end up in the dollar bin at one of my shops where I still pass them over.
So yeah, I’m like you. I picked up some #1’s…. haven’t touched since. The ones I got will likely end up in the Half Price books drop off for pennies in the coming year of comics that no one wants to buy. I know, I’m being a negative nancy.. but it’s true!
