Every Issue of God Country Goes Back To Print

The bestselling series GOD COUNTRY by Donny Cates and Geoff Shaw (REDNECK) is being rushed back to print on issues #1, #2, and #3 in order to keep up with overwhelming customer demand.

In GOD COUNTRY, Emmet Quinlan, an old widower rattled by dementia, isn’t just a problem for his children—his violent outbursts are more than the local cops can handle. When a tornado levels his home—as well as the surrounding West Texas town—a restored Quinlan rises from the wreckage. The enchanted sword at the eye of the storm gives him more than a sound mind and body, however. He’s now the only man who can face the otherworldly creatures the sword has drawn down to the Lone Star State…
GOD COUNTRY #1, 4th printing (Diamond Code FEB178359), GOD COUNTRY #2, 3rd printing (Diamond Code FEB178360), GOD COUNTRY #3, 2nd printing (Diamond Code FEB178361), and GOD COUNTRY #4 Cover A by Geoff Shaw & Jason Wordie and GOD COUNTRY #4 Cover B by Gerardo Zaffino and Jason Wordie will be available on Wednesday, April 19th. 1. For good reason.
If any of you have yet to crack the cover on this one, you will want to do so. Excellent read.

    1. I was on the phone with Donny Cates Wednesday afternoon. He said that the book was always planned as a mini series and has a definite end to it. He said he was open to revisiting the book at another point. I will see if I can pull that clip out.

  2. Look at books like Lady Killer. The first series was a mini and yet issue #1 still commands a good price in the aftermarket. This could follow suit. Maybe it becomes a series of minis?

  3. I’d def be on board to catch the continuing adventures of valofax. Like a new series following the sword to a new wielder.

  4. Lady Killer is a great example of what –could– be with this. Do mini arcs, spread them out 12-18 months apart. Would be great!
As for the many reprints, am I missing the boat here if I don’t go after the multiple versions? I mean, I’m a completest and love having full runs, but I also do like to put a few aside for spec purposes. To me that means reprints of #1 would be the logical target. Or am I being short-sighted?

    1. I say do what makes you happy. I am a completist myself and usually purchase 2 of each 1 for myself and 1 to sell.

    2. Not sure if you are missing the boat. More like missing the canoe. The reprints have been selling for above cover and have been selling out. But not huge profits. Money to be made but not huge money. It depends on how much cost and profit you are willing to accept for your time.

    1. As did I.
Very surprised to find a couple sitting in another LCS that’s not my regular stop. Also found a copy of Heathen #2 suiting on the shelf.
