Poyo's Picks of the Week for March 29th, 2017

I don’t know about all of you people but has it been slow for comics or has it just been slow. Last week Heathen #2 heated up, that’s about all that happened. I figured that one had a chance. This week isn’t looking that good either. Just your regular pulls and reads for the most part.
Now, for the picks since there’s really nothing else to talk about… Unless there is? Just comment below. Tell us what your buying or spec’ing on. Or your favorite read currently.
DC/Vertigo Pick
Hands down, Dark Knight III The Master Race #8 Bill Sienkiewicz variant. He’s hot, find his covers and gobble them up. These can be quick flips or possibly long term growers as well.
Marvel Pick

If you’re a repeat CHU reader.. you should all know by now my love of Rob Guillory’s work (just look at my online handle). So Thanos #5 Venomized cover is this weeks Marvel pick. I love it, love it.. . love it.
Small Publisher Pick
Rift #3 (Red 5 Comics) – This has been a great read. And as for small publishers, not a whole lot going on this week. So check these out, #1 might be hard to come by now but this has movie or show written all over it. The story is great, the art is great. And #2 you can find a letter by Anthony with a picture of our beloved Joe playing baseball in the back.
Indie Pick
The first series was just awesome so I have high expectations for this next series of Space Riders Galaxy of Brutality #1. Fabian Rangel and Alexis Ziritt bring back their trippy space series that cannot be missed and could revive Black Mask from their woes.. that’s if they keep these coming in a timely fashion.
So that’s it from me this week. Tell me you love me or hate me in the comments below.. it’s all good. I love being criticized so I can improve my picks. Or I might just think your wrong and shoo you away… depending on my mood. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. I try to narrow down my list for each of the four categories. Karma Police is a worthy checkout at the local shop but the description wasn’t intriguing enough for me to declare it a pick over Space Riders as the Indie Pick this week….
To be honest, I haven’t read White… I skimmed #1 when it came out but this one, Atoll and Hookjaw all seemed to debut around the same time frame so I stuck with Atoll as it was more intriguing and inliked the art better. Hookjaw I got a sneak digital preview of and I just didn’t like it.
