What UP Chu Mel V here with the latest batch of Variants of the week..Thanks for the feedback on the new why I help you guys choose what Variants to get . Lets keep the party rolling ..LOL no real small talk this week so lets jump right in …Ohh wait I want to know by a show of hands how many of you guy’s have a LCS with a dedicated Variant section ? ok lets get to it

Batwoman Vol 2 #2 Cover B Variant JG Jones Cover – JG Jones has such a unique style, this one won’t be for flipping but I’m picking it up for great cover art. Currently Selling for about $3-$4 on ebay

Harley Quinn Vol 3 #18 Cover B Variant Frank Cho Cover – Love this cover for its humor, you can really tell Mr. Cho is having a lot of fun doing these covers, I do think these will see a value increase over time. Get em while they are affordable.. Currently selling for $3-$5 on Ebay

Lady Death Oblivion Kiss #1 Cover C Variant Adam Hughes Foil Premium Cover – Anthony covered this a while back. This seems to be a new trend where old images are becoming covers. Many people I speak with are on the fence about the concept. Adam Hughes has a great fan base and I think this cover will be in demand from his collectors. Currently selling for $29.99, but, not that many listed ..hmmm

Ms Marvel Vol 4 #17 Cover B Variant Adam Kubert Resurrxion Cover – Sick looking action cover, X-23 still on fire after her movie debut. I don’t see her cooling off anytime soon. This could be a great value flip as well, sold out at all major online retailers and is currently selling for $16-$20 bucks

Royals #2 Cover B Incentive Adi Granov Variant Cover – Speaking of artists on fire, Adi Granov is starting to gain much deserved exposure. An amazing artist that seems to gain a boat load of new fans by the week. His Infinity Gauntlet #1 1:25 featuring Thanos on the cover is a under rated master piece. This one should be huge with the TV series coming up. Surprised there are not that many up on eBay yet, but I’m sure that will change come Wednesday. Currently selling for $60-$70 bucks

Shaolin Cowboy Who’ll Stop The Reign #1 Cover B Variant Frank Miller Cover – Very interested in checking this book out. This is one of those books that caught my eye based on the Frank Miller cover. I was intrigued, so I read the synopsis and said to myself, “hmmm.. this could be something.” This cover is currently selling for $5

World Reader #1 Cover B Incentive Elizabeth Torque Variant Cover – Visually stunning cover. I love Aftershock books and I will be checking this one out. Interesting, it seems to be none on eBay at the time of writing this article. One sold for $39.99 a couple of days ago. This is my sleeper pick of the week

U.S.Avengers #5 Cover B Variant Humberto Ramos Resurrxion Cover – You guys know how much I love Moon Girl. She is a character on the rise. Some people refuse to believe the hype, but believe me it is real. Who cares, I like her and this variant.

  1. Wish my LCS had a dedicated Variant section. I get lost sometimes looking for stuff lol.
I’m loving the cover Bs on Harley Quinn and Ms Marvel.

  2. I just noticed in the Cho Harley cover, that Harley’s new outfit is priced at ‘half off’. A nice lil double entendre. Lol

  3. Why is moon girl the ish. I hear it alot but no one ever says what is so special. Is it only because she is young and black? And before I get a lot of ishy comments I’m black so I’m allowed to ask lol

    1. No. It has to do with her. Wing the smartest person in the Marvel Universe and being a young girl. Not sure it is about race, but a little girl essentially turns out to be the smartest in the universe. Of course this was during Marvel’s diversity period which may have turned out to be a flop. But this character has taken in a life of her own.

    2. Also, there is nothing wrong with talking race, it is just most people do not know how to talk about it without being insensitive or offending people. Conversations need to happen, dialogues need to occur, it’s the only way for people to get a better understanding and come together more.

    3. She Stands out to me..new fresh character ..so much can be done with her..the book is a kids book yes,but its very well written. My Niece loves her to death.as she says “Moon Girl is super cool” I do like the fact she is a diverse character.I think she will last because she is something new IMO …Also I brushed Mosaic off..but im reading issues 2 and 3 ..yo its not as bad as I thought

  4. I didn’t say that their was anything wrong about talking ” race” but if I had not clarified I would get comments saying it was a racist comment. People are quick to call someone a racist nowadays when they don’t know what real racism is.

    1. Yup…. People jump straight to play the race card when it’s possibly prejudice or just being stereotypical…..

  5. they have the same name except gender and that one is an intelligent ape like humanoid and the other is black. Its not a huge thing but it is strange they could
    Change the name

      1. Anyone watch Agents of Shield? Doesnt Mack’s daughter Hope in the Hydra world remind you of Moon Girl? When they first show her they have her hair up and she’s working on a remote control. I was convinced at first it was her. Now not so much.

  6. All previous Shaolin Cowboy books have been absolute glorious absurdity. I told Darrow that I read his recap page in issue #1 of the last series once and he said “nobody was supposed to read that! It’s two pages of absolute nonsense!”

    1. Do you mean Anthony? If so, yes, i love South Park. I am not a race warrior, just think that people need to have dialogues. I do not like outrage for outrage sake, and not an easily offend-able person.

  7. that southpark episode was righton the nose. moon girl is just a fun concept. her best friend and partner in crime is a dinsour . she is smart as hell and looks great . the series is a blast and the variants are fun . plus she has much cos play love . and cos play love is #awesomesauce blind adam out
