Solar Flare #1 sells out and is going back for a second printing

SCOUT COMICS AND ENTERTAINMENT is proud to announce that Solar Flare #1 by creator James Haick, artist Branko Jovanovic and colorist Song Ye, a dystopian tale of a world that has been plunged back into the dark ages when a solar flare wipes out all the electricity and modern technology in the world, has sold out of its first issue and gone back to a second printing with a brand new cover.
James Pruett, Publisher of Scout Comics, says, “We are thrilled by the great response we’ve received for Solar Flare #1. We were hearing reports of sell-outs the first day of release and immediately decided to go back for a second printing,’ said Publisher James Pruett. “We wanted to do something special, so we went back to the artist, Branko Jovanovic, and asked him to do a new cover and not just reprint the original cover in order to give something back to the readers that made this possible and to help distinguish this edition from the first. We’re extremely proud of this milestone and want to congratulate the entire Solar Flare team.”
Remember, when a book sells out at the distributor level this does not mean you will not be able to find them in stores. It means once the first print copies are sold out, your local store will not be able to order more.

  1. There was no doubt in my mind that this would go to second printing. If you passed over this book, it’s not too late to still get copies at a good price. It’s. It’s a hot book and a good read. Usually those two things together have some staying power. I’ve read all 6 books and can say that the story doesn’t drop or disappoint.

  2. Good series. Glad it is doing well and glad I got on the originals when the prices were good!

  3. I believe James still has some self published convention variants for issue #1, available on the solarflare comic website.
