This is PC only imo..over saturation of Dell Otto in recent months.. Nice cover, but I’ll pass…seems tough to flip these recently
The 3 x Same Cover but slight Different Cover Variants are getting out of hand. Hate’em even if I like the art work on them. I’m gonna pass every time nowadays.

Agree with Poyo…. if I purchase one it will be the 12.95 color only. This virgin/sketch/color trio thing is getting real old, real fast.
I’m out completely on all of these from now on. It doesn’t even have to do with the three covers—it’s the grades for me. Now that these companies are offering a “pre-purchase” CGC 9.8, you know that they are grading every single copy. So….the people who buy the 9.8 CGC get that, the rest of us get the 9.2 “or better” (HA!) drek. No thanks. 9.2 on a modern variant that you are paying top dollar for……this is not a bargain at all in my eyes. Given this new trend, the store variants are making less and less sense to me.
However, it’s only fair to disclose that this is from my own personal “spec” perspective…..individual collectors (not speculators) want what they want and the covers are quite nice. Yes, I also agree with the Dell’Otto dilution as of late……and that is from both my “eyes” as a collector and a speculator.

This is a nice cover, but I’ll probably just get the regular cover when it comes out next month. Any ideas if this will be a good spec? It should be the first appearance in comics of the new Defenders team right?
Spec wise it’s hard to know… These trio type store variants are not as spec worthy as they once were nowadays. I think most buy for the PC now….. Unless it’s a new hot artist…. But Dell Otto is swamping the market cause he was the hot and now he’s everywhere.
How about if I waited for the Defenders 1a (regular cover) when it comes out on June 14 at the LCS? I was thinking of buying the cover 1a issue as a “First Appearance” spec. Maybe this might be worth something a few years from now, as it would have the first app. of the new Defenders team?
The new Defenders team 1st appeared in the All-New GOTG Free Comic Book Day issue. Even if they hadn’t appeared there, I think people will not be as drawn to this as they are the individual character 1st appearances. We’ve seen Luke, Jessica, & Danny together countless times. The only difference here is adding Daredevil & Night Nurse. And I expect this issue to have a high print run, since Marvel will be pushing this book to coincide with the Netflix Series; with tons of variants & over-printing the main cover (with retailers having to buy tons of copies of the regular cover to get the variants).
