Lee Bermejo Live Draws Harley Quinn at Baltimore Comic Con

One of the perks of getting in the Baltimore Comic Con early was getting in line for Lee Bermejo to get him to sign a bunch of comics. I also couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get him to do a commission for me. There were so many things I wanted him to do, Swamp Thing, Moon Knight, Batman, but I went with one of the most popular characters out there, Harley Quinn. Here is the 22 minute video of the entire art process sped up to just over 2 minutes.

      1. Oh fuck me! If I knew I would’ve plunked it right down and gotten a few less books done at the CGC booth. Next time

        1. I got it and still dropped off a ton of books to get slabbed Tales of Suspense #41 (probably a 2 at best but I want to preserve it) 2x NM 98 NM 87 and some double and triple signed Harley books, Warren Loue Harley 25th Anniversary signed by Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner, another Harley book, #15 signed by Frank Cho, Amanda Conner and Jimmy. And some ones that readers bought.

  1. Very impressive! Thank you for sharing, I’ve always wondered how long the process takes & if they did these during con’s or if you had to pre-order them. Could you tell me if this was something he came up with on his own or if you asked him a particular pose/style of pic?

    1. Hey David. Basically he set up the terms. For example he was only doing head sketches for $100. That’s it. No full figure no full color. He asks which character you want and then does the head sketch. I asked for the classic Harley costume because I think it would be more recognizable than the new style as you wouldn’t see her outfit. I picked Harley because she is a great character, but also, if I ever decide to resell it, it’s a character that I think would move nicely.
