  1. Thanks ! Just like Alana i had to get to JSC store just to find out most options are sold out, happy to get cover A signed . . . I guess (would have liked to get the C cover) Got 4 copies of the reg. cover secured at the LCS and pre-ordered 4 copies of the Lenticular #25 awhile back. Thats my fill of Gwenom – barf !

    1. The long term winner will still be Cover A. Buy low, sell high people.. we all learned the basics of the market by watching Trading Places, one of the best movies ever!

    2. I got an alright deal on a signed cover c. Less then I would of paid for 3 book set signed if I actually took my own advice and preordered it on Saturday. But got the cover I wanted and helped a fellow flipper flip.

      1. Buy what makes you happy, sell what makes you profit.
But this J. Scott Campbell cover is just Mary Jane with blonde hair.. and dressed like Spider-Gwen.. that’s also been venomized.. 😛

      2. Cause like Mattina, Campbell copies his poses for his artwork from this other guy that goes by the name Campbell.. how many times have we’ve seen this pose from Campbell? I swear the guy has templates where he just changes the outfit and hair color.
Probably looks something like this.. he has cutouts to create each one before drawing…

        😛

  2. Regular cover has 3 sales at $12.99 free shipping on the bay already. JSC cover C’s are drying up a JSC cover A just sold for $47 on the bay even though covers A and B are still available at JSC store for $20 each

  3. This might catch some off guard as most where thinking a one panel cameo if anything in #24 but it looks like a first full appearance. Last spider Gwen #23 had a print run of 20k so your possibly looking at Weapon H type scarcity for Gwenom’s 1st

    1. Hey thanks for letting us know about getting this one several weeks back on here. I had seen your comment on a post and managed to pre-order some copies of Cover A well ahead of time..Thank you!

  4. So I will be honest and say I’m not an avid reader of Spider-Gwen so forgive me for particulars. From a spec point of view I would pick up some but from a reader point of view I would pass in a heart beat. Artwork isn’t good (totally agree with MR’s comment), story line/dialogue seems weak. I would sell quick over the next few weeks.

    1. Oh, besides wanting Gwen to die and stay dead.. I gave it a shot in the beginning. The story lacked and I think the art is okay, but not great.
The regular covers are already being listed for $20 on eBay.. so we’ll see tomorrow how many shops picked up on this book to see how the secondary market holds up. I pre-ordered a few, just to either dump or gamble. If they’re selling well, I’ll pick up some myself to flip just to pay for my other books I pick up tomorrow hopefully. I love basically walking of out a comic book store with a stack of books that play out as if I got them for free.

    1. Regular Cover A. Buy low, sell high. Sure you can buy maybe one $20 or $50 book and double your money (maybe), but when you do the math, buying a handful of the regular covers at the $3.99 price tag and flipping them for $20 or potentially more equals greater profit margin with lower risk.
Say I get my hands on 10 copies of cover A for $3.99 each, I spend $39.90 on ten books. Say they end up selling at $20 each, that’s $200, with roughly $160 profit.
Now let’s say you get a hold of one Campbell variant and spend $50, it sells for $100 flip. You made $50 profit and still spent $10 more than the 10 regular cover A books you could have nabbed.
But this is all hypothetical. There are plenty of different scenarios but Poyo is gonna tell most to buy low, sell high. You risk less spending less with higher profit margin potential. The appeal of the $4 book going for 5x it’s cover price is way more appealing than buying the $50 book and it’s only going for 2x it’s retail price.

  5. Picked up 2 regular copies (cover A) online for a couple dollars over cover plus shipping….just in case I can’t make it to my local comic shop early enough. Also, picked up 2 copies of Cover “A” at the JSC store. $20 a piece is not too bad. Don’t buy many variants anymore…at least as much as I used to so I hope that one does well.

  6. Purchased 4 copies of cover A online from South Side Comics…. And then they cancelled the order an hour later saying “payment declined”. Called my credit card company and they said there was no attempt at authorization.
If you are not going to sell comics. Don’t list them online! Extremely poor business practice.

    1. That sucks. I hate when you purchase an item in good faith just to have the seller/online service screw you over so they can make a few more dollars. ScottsComics does this as well.Doesn’t matter what you buy ahead of time if the owner feels it has become a spec book he will pull the order and knock up the price before he ships out…even if you technically already paid. Screw them!!!

      1. They limit most if not all new books online to just one copy, I just clicked on ROM #13 and it’s limited to 1 book. They’ll even charge you for multiples, then contact you later to tell you it’s limited to 1, asking if you want to buy just the one + shipping which is usually not worth it. So don’t bother with them.

      2. Seems all their back issues are limited to 1 per customer. It’s like, why even have a field that you can increase the quantity if you just limit to 1 for everything. Just freaking stupid..

      3. I did order from them last night and the refunded my order today…sighting “shortages”….Seems just about every online retailer I go to only has shortages if ebay sales start to increase. Won’t even try to order from them again.

  7. So is this gonna be classed as a cameo or first full appearance? I pre ordered #25 thinking that was gonna be first full appearance!

    1. They seemed to have switched things up. This appears to be the first full appearance. Initially all the store exclusives were for issue #25 which was a strong indicator that it would be the first appearance. JSC cover for #24 kind of through that off.

      1. I knew there was hype for #25, but I thought with there being a lenticular cover for #25 that the first full would be #25! You win some you loose some I suppose!
