Comic Picks of the Week for Delivery 10/18/17

Each week hundreds of new comics hit the stands, each with potential. Some live up to that potential. We pick the ones we think have the best shot at heating up. Here are our picks of the week for delivery 10/18/17
Returning Favorites
Curse Words #9 – Still loving the Ryan Browne Charles Soule humorous book. Just a fun read.
Descender #25 – Several covers on this one, including Walking Dead tributes. Need to hear some Movie News, but still a great read.
Invincible #141 – Robert Kirkman’s epic superhero story crawls to it’s end. Still worth the read.
Kill the Minotaur #5 – Optioned. These early issues will be key as the story unfolds.
Mage The Hero Denied #3 – Mat Wagner’s trilogy comes to a close in this 12 part final chapter. Do yourself a favor and find the old issues for the first two series and read them.
The New #2
Realm #2– #1 was on fire, sold the heck out of the secret variants. Issue 2 is a must get.
One For the Collection
Sherlock Frankenstein and the Legion of Evil #1 – This is more for the PC. A new story set in the Black Hammer world. New Jeff Lemire.
For The Cover
Harley Quinn #30 Frank Cho Cover – Again, just for the cover art. I have been putting together a nice collection of Cho covers, mostly signed. This is my favorite by far.
The Odd Marvel One
Deadpool Vs. Old Man Logan #1 – The mini series are better than the ongoing. Worth the pick up to hold.
The Because Poyo Hates Her One
Spider-Gwen #25 – Pick up the regular and the lenticular. Just in case. Clearly got a full first appearance last issue, but this one is worth the grab as well.
The Pick of the Week
Infernoct #1 1:10 variant – There will only be about 100 of these in stores. This is direct from Scout Comics at NYCC. I have two, just in case. At the time of writing, TFAW, Midtown, Mycomicshop are all sold out and there are none on eBay. Going to be difficult to get.

  1. Infernoct 1:10 is gonna be really hard to get. Glad I grabbed the one I did and got it signed as well. I also pre-ordered from Midtown before they sold out. I know my local shops likely won’t have any.
It’s a 1:10 but that only allows shops to order them after they buy 10 of regular A. I doubt most shops went back to order Cover B. So I don’t even think it’s 1 per 10 ratio.. that was just the amount one had to order in order to order cover B. I just wanted to see how many times I could say order in one sentence. 🙂

  2. Just a heads up. Exclusive Jessie James Maestros #1 in ebay for less than $7 shipped. Thanks for all the hard work.
