  1. Merry Christmas and happy holidays to everyone!
Hope it has been a good time!
My shop let me know last week that the books wouldn’t be coming in until today so they won’t be sorted and ready until later, so I’m going to get them tomorrow.
Today I’m still on vacation so it’s an Xbox day today I think 🙂
    Tomorrow I will grab:
    Action comics #994
    Detective comics #971
    Doomsday clock #2
    Hawkman found #1
    Image+ #5
    Nightwing new order #5
    Outcast #32
    Redneck #8
    Spiderman/Deadpool #25
    Thanos #14
    Amazing Spider-Man #793
    Renew your vows #14
    Flash #37
    Dispicable Deadpool #291
    Hellblazer #17
    Happy New year everyone!!

  2. Hope you all had a great Christmas. I haven’t been getting any comics in a while. But I did get a nice set of Superman Secret Identity #1-4. I heard it was a good story line. Haven’t read it yet. Also on a sad note, one of my LCS is closing down. They have a nice sale going on but after 10 years in the market, she decided to close. On the deals, I got Darth Vader #3 For $5, Danger Girl from image for $1, Realm #2&3 for $1 each, Apocalyptic girl by #1 writer El Torres for $1. I am going back sometime next week after the year since she will have the doors open till the end of January. Well hope you all have a great NEW YEAR!!

  3. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!
    Pick-ups this week:
Thanos #14 (super excited to read this today!)
    Punisher Platoon
    Star Wars Storms of Crait
    Redneck
    Wonder Woman (Frison)
Doctor Strange #382 X2 (cover price)
    Happy hunting!

  4. Slow week at work due to holidays so using the time to get caught up on organizing and cataloging the collection. Been procrastinating on this for many, many, many months. Not much excitement at the LCS today so just picked up more long boxes and other supplies. Half way through this daunting project, but will be so happy to have it done.

      1. I just finished organizing my books. I now need to put them in a spread and have them on file. I sold a book on eBay and couldn’t remember what box I had it in. I took out my trusty notebook and BAM! Just like that I found it lol.

      2. FREE
buuuut don’t know if I can export my database for safekeeping. There’s a pretty good chance that if they go my records go with them…. I should check their website.

  6. Merry Christmas, fellow CHU readers. It was a slow day for me as only 1.5 stores, out of the 5 I usually visit, had any new Comics to sell. I did take advantage of some back issue sales though. Picked up a bunch of filler issues for my ASM run along with some Batman books from the Hush storyline, some Detective Black Mirror books (Jock Covers!) and a couple issues from V for Vendetta (I’m building an Alan Moore section for my PC). Here are my pick ups from today:

    X-Men #28 (first Banshee)
Showcase #75 (first Hawk and Dove)
a bunch of variants as well…super stoked!

      1. Ya, I needed most of them. The few I had already I will flip and try and make a good chunk of the money back I paid for them.

      1. Do you have a opinion on this you have choice rick and Morty pocket like you stole it ultra rare variant or edge of spider verse greg land variant I sold already for 2,400. Which would you pick for long term pick up

        1. Rick and Morty is hot and will see some growth. Marvel has big plans for Spider Gwen in comics and in outside media. They just trade marked Ghost Spider as they are moving away from the Spider Gwen moniker. Long term the Edge of Spiderverse could be the better.

          1. Thanks so much for your opinion. I’ve been wracking my head trying to figure out which direction to go. While ago I bought two of the edge of spider verse land variants and both came back at 9.8 and one sold for 2400.
Last question for today . Any thoughts on Whitman DC or marvel variants? Been reading a lot about them lately . You’re the man Anthony. Thanks again

              1. Yea I started doing a bunch of research and getting into some older Disney stuff with their buy out of fox and seeing as how they should own all media someday and came across a few interesting articles on Whitman variants and how some are more rare than the 35 cent variants out there

      2. Your right! When I was growing up in the mid to late seventies/early eighties I avoided the Whitman variants like crazy! I thought they were a cheap copy of the real deal!

  8. Missed out on the foil Hawkman Found cover at my LCS, sounds like it is selling briskly so it might be a Wed. winner. Picked up everything else I wanted, though, so here’s the list:

    1. I quit my nerd block subscription about 2 months before this was released. FML. lol…and all I got was this shitty t-shirt.

  9. No in store pickups for me yesterday. Just a few online ones. One of my shop’s is closing on the 31st so I’m going to go by and see if I can get anything good. It’s a great shop I’ll miss them.

  10. During boxing week, purchase of 70 mint DC and Marvel comics for $7.00 from hobby store that can afford to sell new comics at a financial loss in semi-annual sales.

    1. Man. 10 cents each. Webuycomics.com will buy them at a minimum of .25 cents each. Need to offset shipping but you could sell them all day. Lol. Seriously, I stock up on sales like that.
