  1. modern age comics that are worth $100 or more from 1992 to present. no variants included.
    saga 1
    nyx 3
    detective 880
    walking dead 1 2 19 27
    batman 608 2nd print
    batman adventures 12
    rick and morty 1
    chew 1
    preacher 1
    harbinger 1
    invincible 1
    goon 1
marvel super heroes winter special 1….squirrel girl
    y the last man 1
i know i may be missing a few more…but incredibly only a handful are worth this much in over 25 years. if you have these keep them. all the rest of your moderns you flip…make a profit….and spend on silver and bronze age. thats what i do. and thats what anthony does as well. = retirement set. period. having stocks in amazon doesn’t hurt either. just saying…..

      1. Ill flip anything I can get a good price on. Ive streamlined my PC to a few titles (Batman, X23, ASM & Symbiotes), a few characters (Joker, Harley, Lobo, Peter Parker, Symbiotes, X23), 1 writer (Alan Moore) and 2 artists (McFarlane and Jock). I do have a Favourite covers section too. My gold will be in the early ASMs I hope to get. Everything else, ciao bella. I still read a lot, and buy the floppies to do it. But as soon as Im done, if the story didnt blow me away, I sell at a discount as a set and move on.

      1. In your ebay overview page, Tony, what percentage of your sales does it tell you that you pay to them and paypal? Even as a top rated seller, I end up at like 15%. feebays fees are crazy stupid high. I want to look into opening a shopify store. I wish there was a more reasonably priced, reliable, popular platform to sell our comics on. I just hate how greedy ebay is.

      1. preacher 1 took a huge dive. it was close to a $400 book for near mint before the show came out. now you can get them for $150. huge drop off.

      2. I’m waiting to get my Walking Dead 1 and 2 after the show ends.. they’ll drop back to really affordable prices then.

    1. How did you come up with that lost? Are you assuming mm 9.4 raw? There a A LOT of modern books that sell for above $100 in 9.8. Notably Batman 635, totally awesome hulk 22, teen titans 12, moon girl and devil dinosaur #1…just the ones off the top of my head.
But wondering what your criteria/max grade is for the $100 cutoff other than variants not included.

  2. Been turning Moon Girl #28s into bronze beauties.
Creatures #1 1st Tigra as werewoman
    Fear # 20 1st solo Morbius
Avengers #144 1st Hellcat have acouple already.
Storm watch #4 1st Midnighter and Apollo
1st Thanos toy toybiz F4 series
    Marvel Legends infinity gauntlet
    Marvel legends Walmart Exclusive Thanos
And my husband made me buy Adam Bomb and Blasted Billy Garbage pail kids series 1

      1. I have one left for the pc. Getting really close to rounding off my Bronze Age keys need maybe 5-7 more books. Have the hard ones out of the way like Swampy, Wolvie, Moonknight, Blade, Thanos, Darkseid, Quill, Rocket, etc…… $500 more in Bronze Age I’ll be done.

  3. Picking up:
    Invader Zim 29
I had a table at a local comic swap this past weekend. Below is what sold.
Silver Surfer 3: reader copy signed by Stan Lee
War is Hell 9: 1st Death
    Rick & Morty 2 & 3 Colas variants
A small run of Power of Warlock
2xEagle 6: first Adam Hughes which more than paid for my third copy
Mad Magazine 76: 1st Aragones published work
    A number of $1 books
It was hard to compete with one vendor selling $10 golden age books and another selling at $20 to fill a bag.
    Picked up:
I don’t have it in hand yet, but have a copy of Love & Rockets 1 B&W coming in the mail.

      1. Not spending money at the con allowed me to buy the L&R1 B&W. Someone at the con said Gilbert Hernandez found a small stack and was selling them directly. Brought the price down with the small flood, but worth the investment. Emailed him and he still had some!

      2. The L&R 1 B&W was $200 + $15 shipping. Slabbed 9.8 used to go for about $1500, but dropped to about $650 after this stash hit the market. I’d rather buy it directly from the artist if at all possible.

      3. Are the SDCC Comics 1 expensive? There is one on the bay for under $5 but it’s a reader copy.

      1. Unknown Comic Books
        Sanctum Sanctorium Comics
        Sad Lemon (UK)
I’m sure others will get them..these also had the cover C virgin variant for cover price.

  4. I’m skipping this week. Sons got big baseball tourney this week. Couldn’t find any Scooby doo zombie

    1. I see some Scooby 23’s on eBay for around $15. Any room to grow on that or is it just the flavor of the week due to a bad week?? Thanks guys.

      1. I stopped coaching this year. It’s 10u select, which is huge in the Houston area. It all leads to little league all stars in 3 more years.

  5. This week I am picking up:
    Vodka and lemonade
    Cervesa
    Strawberry daiquiri
    Whisky sour
More food than I can eat
    A sunburn
    Lol
My books were posted last week and I alwontbbe getting them until next week because I’m on vacation.
Free wifi so I come on in the am and again at night.
Now if you will excuse me, I hear the ocean calling my name.

  6. I missed out on the ECCC’s Rick and Morty Vindicators. I had the Oni Press page saved on my phone. I checked last night and the book was removed from the search engine. I checked this morning, the book was there, but sold out! Was anyone able to get one?

    1. Damn, lol. I usually check CHU before i head out on Wednesdays and i slept in and have just seen the R&M eccc link now. Kinda worth the sleep though.

  7. DrunkWooky only imbibes Correllian ale nowadays. Translation: I get my Star Wars comic fix every week.
    This week:
-Darth Vader #13: After issue 12, Soule has proven that he can make deep canonical references. He dropped footnotes to his own Lando series, and placed an identifying clue on one of the imperial officers that it took two readings to pick up on. The familial references to the bounty hunter Chanoth, the sith helmet in both Vader vol. 2 and Lando. these deep cut easter eggs are what give Star Wars junkies chills!
-Thrawn #2 Shalvey variant: Thrawn is having a moment again. It has been more than 25 years since the original Thrawn Trilogy, but Zahn is back on his game! The strategic mastermind, and tactical wolfhound that is Thrawn is back in action! I think Thrawn fans are a sleeping dragon right now. Once they all find out that the new book had a comic adaptation with incentive variants, these will leave the market and rarely return. These books get stowed in lifetime star wars collections….er…..like mine.

      1. I heard that either the cover is upside down or there are interior pages that repeat. I haven’t seen it personally yet.

  8. Another week, another hot book (SCOOBY APOCALYPSE #23) that fails to appear in my pull because the LCS can’t seem to understand the concept of a pull list. Other sold out books that I did acquire include Avengers #684, Action Comics #999 (A&B covers sold out). Was interested in picking up Pumpkinhead #2 and Subspecies #1, but it looks like they didn’t get those books (or they were scarfed up by the eBay sellers). And Dry County #1 was another from my pull that was nowhere to be found.
On the plus side, the LCS has a 75% off sale on older books that is ending today, so I snagged Showcase #53, which is the first comic book appearance of GI Joe. Also picked up Strange Adventures #177 the other day, which has the first appearance of Immortal Man, who will apparently be the leader of the new Immortal Men team from DC (so maybe a decent spec pick).

    1. Oh, and DC has a free World of Krypton comic this week that I believe reprints the first issue of that older mini-series. This is a tie-in to the new SyFy show, Krypton.

      1. Cool…I picked that series up about a year ago, minty condition! I don’t remember why, other than I must’ve read about it and like the concept and it was a cheap for the condition and age.

  9. Mr Miracle and Dr Strange are it for me this week, I don’t mind a light one.
Spent a bunch of the day going through my boxes and digging out multiple copies of Web 97 & 99 and Sentry #1
Probably pick up a nice Harvey precode with the profits

  10. Can someone identify the female character who is in the last few panels of Doctor Strange #387? She lurks out if the shadows and then transforms into a flaming headed chick wearing captsin marvels outfit. I think the CM outfit is a disquise or a ploy though. Thoughts? Anyone?

    1. Idk I read that everyone is going to be Ghost Rider in the next few issues of Damnation and Dr Strange. Cates be like Oprah giving everyone Ghost Riders.

      1. When she first appears out of the shadows to join Mephisto, she has long blonde hair snd then she transforms into Cptn Marvel Ghost Rider. She doesnt look like Carol Damvers before she transforms. Who is she?

    2. Its captain marvel, but mephisto fooled doctor strange into thinkin it was his ex, and captain marvel ghost rider form takes his soul during their exchange
