Comic Picks of the Week for Delivery 3/21/18

Each week hundreds of new Comics hit the stands, each with potential. Some live up to that potential. We fix the ones we think have the best shot at heating up. These are the pics of the week for March 21, 2018.
Returning Favorites
Harrow County #29 – One of the best damn horror books on the market, but so much more. The history in the book is wide reaching
Ice Cream Man #3 – Existential horror at it’s best. Great read.
Moonshine #8 – Prohibition era Werewolves. A great read as well. Grabbing the Rafael Albuquerque cover, myself.
Avengers #685 – This storyline has been great and each issue has sold out. There is the fantastic Terry Dodson Variant worth grabbing.
The One People Are Missing
Doctor Strange Damnation #3 – Donny Cates, check, Everyone is a Ghost Rider, check. Worth the grab (so are issues 1 and 2)
The Off-shot chance
Amazing Spider-man Renew Your Vows #17 – Two new characters introduced this week. See if it turns into something.
For the Covers
Green Lanterns #43 Brandon Peterson Cover – If this was a recruiting ad for the Green Lantern Corp, I would join. Amazing looking cover.
Harley Quinn #40 Frank Cho Cover – Cho adds some real humor to this one, he continuously delivers great covers.
The Worth The Grab
Weapon H #1 – Weapon H was Marvel’s hot new thing in the Weapons of Mutant Destruction crossover. They didn’t delete the character down too much by making him appear everywhere. This one is worth the pick up. Grab the cover you like.
The Variant of the Week
Mighty Thor #705 Jee Hyung Variant (available on eBay) – This 1:50 is already going for 2x the ratio price. Grab it if you can find it cheap.
The Small Press Pick of the Week
Infinity 8 #1 – Very “Euro” comic from Lions Forge that looks fantastic. Small press, will be hard to find.
The Pick of the Week
Thanos #17 – Selling out online (Midtown and TFAW.) I look forward to this each month. Cates has been on fire and this book continues to heat up. Let’s not forget that Thanos #17 Cover B Christian Ward Cover (available on eBay) is already selling for $9.99 online. Not a bad flip right off the bat.
That is it for this week. In case you missed it, here is this week’s New Comic Spec Review Video:

  1. I absolutely love that Peterson GL B cover. Stunning. That one is going straight in the PC. Now, that cover is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than anything that JSC or those garbage exclusives are putting out, imo, at a fraction of the cost and hassle.

  2. dc comics does variants right. buying a few of those g.l. covers. t-shirt worthy. I am sick of store variants most of em. I am and I can’t belive I am saying this. but Iam sick of virgins. sick of variant virgins that is love you guys blind adam out
