Locke and Key Ordered By Netflix

Back in April we mentioned Joe Hill’s Locke and Key , which was originally optioned as a movie, then optioned by Hulu, has now officially found a home at Netflix.

The show will be based off the comic which first appeared in Locke and Key #1 in 2008. There is also a 1:10 Special Edition , a Dynamic Forces Variant, and a Dynamic Forces Negative Variant.

From Variety

Netflix has officially picked up “Locke & Key” to series, nearly two months after it was first reported the project had moved to the streaming giant from Hulu.

The series is based on the IDW Publishing comic book franchise of the same name by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez. It is a horror/fantasy series that revolves around three siblings who, after the gruesome murder of their father, move to their ancestral home in Massachusetts only to find the house has magical keys that give them a vast array of powers and abilities. Little do they know, a devious demon also wants the keys, and will stop at nothing to attain them. Netflix has ordered a 10-episode first season for the hour-long series.

“Locke & Key” had originally been ordered to pilot at Hulu, who passed on it earlier this year. Netflix is redeveloping the show with new scripts and a new cast.

  2. I picked up multiples over a year ago…Most prices on Ebay are getting steep now… there are still a couple on Amazon (DF version) for just under $20. Decent price to add to the pc or maybe some wiggle room room to make a few bucks,

  3. There is also a “signed” edition signed by Joe Hill with a sticker on the cover. I don’t care for that one because of the sticker but it’s pretty pricey. I grabbed the 1:10 a couple weeks ago. Probably my favorite series of all. Glad I collected that first series before it went crazy.

    1. I was able to find some #1 first print at my lcs for $25 a piece. Should I sell now or wait? I might send some to cgc.

      1. sell at least one now to recoup your cost….if the others are nice enough send them out to be graded and sell when the show comes out…..and hope that nothing happens along the way to derail it.
