HENCHGIRL In Development As A Television Series!

Scout Comics & Entertainment Inc. is proud to announce that Henchgirl by Kristen Gudsnuck is now in development as a live action television series with screenwriter Alex Ebel attached to adapt.

I hope all you people held onto your copies, now the time to likely offload them.

Ebel is a genre-blending dramedy writer currently staffed on the upcoming Nickelodeon series ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK. Previously, she was a writer on the SyFy Network series DEADLY CLASS and BLOOD DRIVE. On the film side, Ebel recently finished a psychological thriller for MarVista Entertainment entitled MOTHER OF ALL EVIL. She is currently adapting a feature rom-com from a New Yorker article about the first Tindr hookup in Antarctica. Ebel got her start in TV as a writer on VH1’s POP UP VIDEO.

HENCHGIRL, written and drawn by Gudsnuck, is the story of Mary Posa, who hates her job. She works long hours for little pay, no insurance, and, worst of all, no respect. Her coworkers are jerks and her boss doesn’t appreciate her. He also happens to be a supervillain. Cursed with a conscience, Mary would give anything to be something other than a Henchgirl!

Gudsnuk is the co-creator and illustrator of the comic MODERN FANTASY with Rafer Roberts, illustrator of the VIP series by Jen Calonita, from Little Brown, and creator of the Indie Bound Bestselling graphic novel series MAKING FRIENDS, from Scholastic, with the sequel MAKING FRIENDS: BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD out this July.

Scout Comics & Entertainment Inc. is the home of creator-owned comic books such as THE MALL (currently in development with Ivan Reitman), LONG LOST (currently in development with Jessica Jones screenwriter/producer Jenny Klein), FISH EYE (currently in development with Little Engine, the production company behind 13 Going on 30 and Isn’t it Romantic), and SMOKETOWN (currently in development with writer/director Vaughn Stein), among many others.

  1. #awesomesauce.wasn’t there some self published henchgirls before scout?glad I held on to a few copies #testify blind adam out

      1. I have the #1 and the huge ass book that Is a pain to store, kept it in the box it was shipped in all this time. Have a singed Henchgirl #1 bit prices look like half of what they use to be. I wouldn’t sell until the show is out or a week before it comes out.

      1. They even made a pilot episode for Enormous trying to sell the show, but it has been taken down everywhere can’t find a working video.
