  2. Thanks for the heads up. I was able to fill some holes in my Poison Elves collection. I appreciate all the work you do, Poyo.

  3. Its funny I had my mind set on going to a local con and then I started thinking how much I despise cons lately. Too many vultures and shady sellers. I got burned badly the last time I went and then boom I see the email.

I redirected my con funds to this sale and I am glad I did. Got an almost complete run of Infamous Iron Man and Black Panther books. Those Acuna covers on Black Panther are dope. Too bad I couldn’t get issue # 2 (The Kilmonger Symbiote) They will do another one around Black Friday and New Years. This sale always reminds me how expensive this hobby can be.

      1. I have several copies of the first print cover A as well. If poyo doesn’t come through I can part with one for cover + shipping. Feel free to contact me if interested.

    1. And yes to the cons. Sometimes some dealers are there to make money and give people deals. Others seem to take advantage and hike up the prices beyond what the secondary market is. It’s a shame some resort to such tactics.

      1. I’ve been to one con. And Didn’t buy a single comic. Unless I’m in the market for a key that I’m not willing to buy online and want to inspect in person I don’t think I’ll go to another one.

    2. How did you get ‘burned’ last time? Im curious. Maybe your account can help someone else avoid the same fate.

      1. I was sold a set of Kingdom Come 1-4. He had NM stickers on them and when I got home, they were beat to hell on the back covers.I had been looking for a set for a while. I get that its hard sometimes to maintain 20 year old books but be honest about the condition. Let me as a consumer decide if I want to get it in VF or Good shape. Maybe I should have asked to open the bags but a lot of people won’t allow you to. Not to mention the overpricing and the way people elbow you out of looking at anything. I had a hard time.

I was turned off by the practices of sellers and the behavior of collectors.

A trick I see a lot now is sellers hiding books defects with Mylar. They figure you may or may not open it so why not. I know a shop owner who does it all the time. He is a moron.
