I am going to give this book a few more issues. The art is great but the story is kind of meh. Feels like a gimmick to me. I love the Batman Who Laughs but I am not crazy about this story. DC has fallen off lately story wise in my opinion. I am not a Bendis hater. Infamous Iron is one of the best comics ever and his Miles Morales run was really dope.
However, his influence at DC is becoming obvious and not good. I feel like they are losing or have lost that Rebirth momentum. With the exception of Doomsday Clock, I don’t find many of their current stories compelling. If the rumors about this 5th Generation heroes are true, then I think that will bring back the momentum. Tom King really hurt Batman. He had a lot of cool issues in his run but man what a epic collapse.
I agree with you on most everything you said except I haven’t been digging Doomsday Clock.
