  1. I liked, “Harleen,” a lot more than the, “Harley/Joker: Criminal Sanity,” book. Most folk seem to feel the same way.

Also, don’t you go starting angry debate on Wolverine and what counts as his first appearance. Internet be lit with rage lately…

      1. There is no debate. It is well established that Wolvies 1st appearance is 180. However, the market decided, a long long time ago, that 181 is more sought after as Wolvies 1st full. Both are blue chip. But one has had more demand for 30 years, and the prices reflect that. Both are must haves for any Wolvie fan.

        1. Yeah, I hate the debate that the more valuable is the first appearance.. that’s not the case, ever. They either appear or don’t. The market decides which early appearance if it’s first, second, cameo or whatever is the most valuable, that’s it.

    1. Harley/Joker Criminal Sanity was waaaaay better than Harleen. The art and story are top notch. The art in Harleen was mediocre. The story was pretty bland.

  2. Some people are still struggling with the complexity of the 1st full appearance. Hey man, words are hard.

  3. well to add fire to the debate and I am the masterdebator yes yes I am the masterdebator of comic books #testify um I like that the masterdebator of comics don’t forget about two true first apperances yeah I said it true firsts comic reader #117 &foom #2 comic reader is cover dated april 1975 and features the first images of the team that appears in giant sized x men #1 two months before giant sized x men #1 foom 2 shows images of the awesome powers of wolverine and pre dates the hulk issues making that logans true first stealing true first so what I ams ure next week nextmen #14 will be on the list.and I need to have ahrleen read to me love you guys blind adam out

  4. Thor # 229, Iron Fist #19, Daredevil #115 are Wolverine’s “true firsts” BAM!…..unless the aren’t. Something tells me if you look at some Hulk comics the months or year leading up to #180 you will find a background character drawn by Herb Trimpe that looks a lot like Logan…and then you can say it is him…in cameo, sizing up the Hulk or Banner. SO, that is everyone’s homework for the weekend.

      1. But you can be the one that finds the first printed Logan-ish guy!!!! In a few hours a $10 comic will $100, maybe more!!!

    1. Looked through THOR #229, nothing. Looked through DAREDEVIL #115, there’s a Wolverine ad for Incredible Hulk 181 but nothing else, IRON FIST doesnt exist unless you are talking about LUKE CAGE, POWER MAN #19, which has nothing. So you must be talking about nonsense.

      1. Thor #229 does indeed have the Hulk 181 ad in it. For Iron Fist #19 I should have stated Marvel Premiere featuring Iron Fist #19..which also has the 181 ad. Those won’t mean anything though, when someone finds that Logan looking character in an earlier Hulk or X-men comic! Tony is looking for him right now! He loves homework! Said so himself!

  5. When I was 8 years old (1972), I drew a stick figure of a man with a wolverine type head. My mom kept that paper plate that I drew it on and I still have it. I claim 1st appearance of Wolverine in concept which counts more than cameo, more than 1st in ad, more than 1st full, more than 1st in shadows, more than 1st in test tube, more than 1st in preview, more than 1st in portrait in one panel…….. so there!!

    1. Well, you are going to have to scan it and show it on here….then we can all print it out and sell it as an official prototype… It works that way, right?

          1. *why* make Tony…

Btw, Tony, careful with the runner ups…some errors in those eBay sales…in particular Spawn 300 & 301…could not confirm the high sales reported….most sales above cover were groups or lots…
