Final Order Cut-Off Highlights for 6/29/20

Final Order Cut-Off is the last day that shops can guarantee their orders for comics. After Final Order Cut-Off, or FOC, these books will only be available to retailers on Advance Reorder. And that is not guaranteed. So here are the highlights for Monday, 6/29/20’s FOC list.

Still light on some releases. Marvel has almost nothing on FOC this week.

Chu #1 – Hey now, fan favorite Chew returns as CHU, yes the title makes us a little giddy, but very happy to see a return to the Chew-niverse. TONY CHU is a cibopath, able to get psychic impressions from what he eats. SAFFRON CHU is a cibopars, able to learn secrets from who she eats with. Tony is a cop. Saffron is a criminal. They are brother and sister, and they are on a collision course. Spinning out of the multiple Eisner Award-winning and New York Times bestselling series CHEW comes CHU, a felonious new food noir about cops, crooks, cooks, and clairvoyants.

Bliss #1 – New series from the creators of Coyote. There’s a drug called Bliss wiping away memories in Feral City. A good-hearted young man, overwhelmed by a deathly sick child and distraught wife, makes a deal to become the personal hitman to three gods, killing those in their way and sending memories down the river of Oblivion in exchange for his family’s well-being. Breaking Bad meets Neil Gaiman’s Sandman in an urban fantasy unlike any you’ve ever seen.

Canto & Clockwork Fairies One Shot – Fan favorite series returns for a one shot before the second series released later this summer.

Power Rangers Ranger Slayer #1 – Ranger Slayer gets her own one-shot. Supposed to be a big first appearance. Higher cover price one shot could be low ordered. Available in regular, Montes Foil helmet cover (shown above), and Spoiler Variant. eBay is wiped clean of Go Go Power Rangers #8 her first appearance.

DC

Batman #95 – Regular and Cardstock covers. Joker’s War continues.

Detective Comics #1024 – More Joker war. Both covers are fantastic but really like the Lee Bermejo card stock cover.

Batgirl #47 – fantastic Joker cover. One of those iconic covers that remain popular. I wish they had put him in the Hawaiian shirt and purple hat though.

MARVEL

Wolverine #3 – man, I love the brothers Hildebrandt. Sadly only Greg is still around. He does a fantastic painted cover on this issue
