Make sure to head over to CovrPrice.com for you comic Price Guides, Collection Management, and a lot more!

#1 DAREDEVIL #25 (MARVEL, 2020) You know a book is popular when you call your LCS and their immediate greeting is “No, we don’t have any copies of Daredevil #25”. This just might be the best selling new release comic we’ve ever seen. It smashed previous hot books with a massive 355 copies sold, had a 7-day trend of 904% and had a high sale of $81 for a raw price when the market was going nuts! (it’s currently about $44). Now, the debate lies in the recent solicitations for Daredevil #27, which shows Elektra in her original costume. Many agree that this original costume was used to prevent spoiling the reveal. However, it does have folks eagerly awaiting more updates.

#2 DAREDEVIL #25 SALVADOR LARROCA (1:25) (MARVEL, 2020) Continuing on with our Deja Vu, this variant was THE variant to have. The lucky few shared their victories online, while those who didn’t had to pay well over $100 for a copy. It sold 65 copies, had a 7-day trend of 856% and had a high sale of $195 for a raw copy.

#3 DAREDEVIL #25 LASHLEY KNULIFIED (MARVEL, 2020) So, unless you were under a comic rock, this issue featured a last page reveal of Elektra as Daredevil, including her spin on the costume. The market freaked the crap out! Since copies were underordered and VERY hard to find, fans gobbled up copies online. This Knulified cover sold 107 copies, had a 7-day trend of 501% and had a high sale of $62 for a raw copy.

#4 TOXIC AVENGERS #1 (MARVEL, 1991) Remember this classic 80 series of comics and films? Well, he’s back! Deadline recently reported “Peter Dinklage To Star In Legendary’s ‘Toxic Avenger’ Reboot”. It sold 79 copies, had a 7-day trend of 342% and had a high sale of $225 for a CGC 9.8.

#5 NAOMI #1 LUPACCHINO VARIANT (DC, 2019) Yep, this variant had the highest price jump. For a while, the main cover was the market’s focus… until this “B” variant slowly climbed it’s way past… only to fall hard after a disappointing origin reveal. The market simply moved on. However, with this new news, it sold 33 copies, had a 7-day trend of 333% and had a high sale of $199.95 for a CGC 9.8.

#6 NAOMI #1 3RD PRINT (DC, 2019) Okay, here’s where we’re going to create some Deja Vu. Yes, the 3rd print also made the list. Since the 2nd print is reportedly rarer, this 3rd print (being more available) sold 35 copies, had a 7-day trend of 268% and had a high sale of $139.99 for a CGC 9.8.

#7 GREEN ARROW #24 (DC, 2013) When CW’s ARROW ended, John Diggle picks up a Green Lantern ring… leading many to believe that he’s actually John Stewart (his father General Roy Stewart, played by Ernie Hudson, appeared in an earlier episode). We’re no detective… but this is pretty straight forward stuff. He’s expected to appear throughout the various remaining CW shows… and safe speculation leads us to believe that he’ll take on the GL mantle. The bigger question is if this crosses over into the HBO Max Green Lantern series? Regardless, Diggle’s first (in continuity) appearance is in GREEN ARROW #24 (2013). It sold 24 copies, had a 7-day trend of 367% and had a high sale of $50 for a raw copy.

#8 NAOMI #1 (DC, 2019) Naomi is back! Deadline reported that DC Comics’ ‘Naomi’ TV Series From Ava DuVernay & Jill Blankenship In Works At The CW. This was a sudden surprise and fantastic reward to those Naomi fans who held onto their copies after market values plummeted over the past year. While CW speculation hasn’t fared well in the past, this is a new market where the same rules no longer apply. So, who knows! It sold 32 copies, had a 7-day trend of 258% and had a high sale of $249.99 for a CGC 9.8.

#9 HAWKEYE #11 (MARVEL, 2013) Recent set leaks confirmed Hailee Steinfeld playing the role of Kate Bishop in the HAWKEYE Disney+ series. Additionally, her and Hawkeye’s shared Golden Retriever, Lucky “the Pizza Dog” (who has no powers by the way), was also clearly visible in the leaks. This caused a spike in price for his first appearance as “Pizza Dog” in this issue (he appears in several issues before this, specifically Hawkeye #1). Heck, while Young Avengers (first Kate) is jumping in price, this was the only book out of that confirmation to land on this list! If dog spec was on your 2020 bingo list, you win! It sold 18 copies, had a 7-day trend of 389% and had a high sale of $29 for a raw copy.

#10 DOCTOR STRANGE #384 (MARVEL, 2018) In this Donny Cates written issue, a depowered Doctor Strange is forced to release and merge with THE VOID (the alter-ego of The Sentry)… who has a rather symbiote look. Many are pointing to this issue as some of the early groundwork that Donnie Cates has been building for years leading into the King in Black. It sold 16 copies, had a 7-day trend of 371% and had a high sale of $49.99 for a raw copy.

    1. I don’t. I use to feel bad for people who overspent on things but if they can’t do their own research and prevent themselves from paying due to FOMO, then let them learn the hard way I say. It’s one thing to be conned by a seller but it’s another when they’re just stricken with FOMO disease…
