One Week Later Report for March 31st, 2021

Welcome to the 11th One Week Later Report for 2021.

This week we’ll cover the books released on 03/24/2021, which was last week.

These can be books we anticipated getting hot, total surprise winners and perhaps books that got hyped and ended up as duds. Also could be a good list to use when out picking up this weeks books for you Wednesday Warriors..

I told people to look (way back in January Indie Spotlight) into Cold Dead War #1. It’s now an easy $20 book. But seriously, I didn’t see a lot of people picking up this Heavy Metal title. It caters to war junkies and then maybe the zombie fans who took notice.

I hope you didn’t go spending too much on that Taskmaster #3 ratio variant? A lot of retailers put this around the $40 mark and that’s about how much the most recent solds have gone for, some a few bucks less. If you really want this one, maybe wait and see if the prices continue to drop on the secondary. You can still find the regular 2nd print cover at most retailers at cover price still.

The first printing of Taskmaster #3 is still going for around the $30 price range so if you can find those out in the wild or for cheap, not a bad grab.

Detective Comics #1034 is an easy double your money book currently, selling around the $10 range. Not a lot of room for profit if you bought at the $4.99 cover price point after fees but still a likely pickup if you find them out in the wild. Flatline made a cameo appearance in this issue, which is causing the slight love for the book. There’s already a Detective Comics #1034 (2nd Ptg) available for pre-order.

    1. Be on the lookout. This Wednesday there will be a sort of prequel to night of the living dead. By Heavy Metal. Written by George Romero’s son. Called “The Rise”

    2. Missed out? I try to point these out in my monthly Indie spotlights.. As for good read, I haven’t read it yet as my pre-order hasn’t shipped. 🙁
