One Week Later Report for April 28th, 2021

Welcome to the 14th One Week Later Report for 2021.

This week we’ll cover the books released on 04/21/2021, which was last week.

These can be books we anticipated getting hot, total surprise winners and perhaps books that got hyped and ended up as duds. Also could be a good list to use when out picking up this weeks books for you Wednesday Warriors..

Batman Fortnite Zero Point #1 was a winner from last week. An easy $20 to $30 flip for all those Fortnite players wanting their codes to redeem their skins.

Nightwing #79 followed in the footsteps of Nightwing #78 with some love on the secondary market. It’s and easy $10 to $15 flip on it’s own.

Geiger #1 Glow in the Dark Variant hit most shops a week later after the initial release. Not a bad flip if you can find them, a solid $10 after they briefly peaked around the $15 range. Probably gonna continue to cool off but maybe rebound if the series stays hot with new issues coming out.

Unikorn #1 from Scout is seeing some love on the secondary. The regular is doing okay but if you found the VHS hidden variant, those are doing quite well along with the ashcan version as well.

You Promised Me Darkness #1 has prices all over the place, with a lot of exclusives and store variants. If you find them out in the wild, you can likely flip them.

  1. Still selling batman fortnite at $20. Cut price from $25 to make sure they go before the second print next week hits. 2 and 3 will sell for more than 1

  2. Uncertain whether Batman FZP 1 can sustain higher price in long term because demand is partly from game. Would people still be interested in playing game in future years? Apparently, stores underestimated demand for first issue which sold out quickly.

  3. I thought I read that the codes for issues 2 and 3 will be for items that hit the Fortnite store the same day as the books are released. Only the HQ from issue 1 was not available on the store until June. Do you think this will affect demand from the gamers?

    1. You need the codes from the comics or the dceu paid membership to get the extra armored batman skin. So you will eventually be able to buy them in game, but you will not get the armored batman skin. Anyone who speculated on this book Hopefully sold as quick as they could. With many reprints and the trade paperbacks all having codes, it’s a limited time they will be worth money

  4. Ordering as many as I can of the 3rd print of You Promised Me Darkness #1. It’s a fire cover and likely to be allocated (based on past issues)
