Poyo’s FOC Highlight Books for Last Call 08/23/2021 ?

FOC is the last chance to put in your orders with your comic shops and likely get at a discount for pre-ordering.

Classic Godzilla vs Mothra. This is a must for any Godzilla fan with Godzilla Rivals vs Mothra (Cover A – Su).

Star Wars High Republic Adv Monster Temple Peak #2 (of 4) is another Star Wars title yet don’t be fooled that it’s not heating up immediately. But anything could happen in any issue, even being only a 4 issue mini series.

I’ve already the first issue and it’s great. Lemire rarely disappoints. His new title out from Image Primordial #1 (of 6) (Cover A – Sorrentino) is on FOC this Monday. And all the covers are good. Can’t decide go with A or honestly, I was probably going to go with A myself but now I might have to pick up a copy of each cover for myself.

Black Widow #11 is just a pretty solid cover if you ask me. Hughes has been knocking these out of the ballpark and just confirming the “Always bet on A” tagline..

I almost always pick up a Thanos titled book. He might be long gone in the MCU but I can’t ever get enough of the Mad Titan.

Kang the Conqueror #2  is on FOC. Really digging this A regular cover.

Hoping for a great read out of Last Annihilation Wakanda #1. It hints at a possible first but the wording indicates that could be an existing character. We’ll just have to wait and find out!

Star Wars Darth Vader #16 (WotBH) continues the War of the Bounty Hunters storyline. A must if you’ve been following along.

Star Wars War of the Bounty Hunters Boushh #1 is another book one must grab if you’re going to grab all these tied into the Bount Hunters War.

This new title Maw #1 (of 5) (Cover A – Kristantina) out from BOOM! is promising for those who like SIKTC and Redlands. Might be worthy of checking out. I also noticed that Gist is doing a variant for Maw #2 (of 5) (Cover B – Gist) which looks pretty cool. It’s not on FOC but wanted to point it out since we seem to have a Gist fanbase growing over on the forums.

Not comics but both are very awesome!

Star Wars Insider #205 FOC Variant and Star Wars Insider #205 Previews Exclusive Ed. These are musts, especially that Vader Previews Exclusive variant.

Hughes takes his talent to Deathstroke Inc #1 (Cover C – Adam Hughes Card Stock Variant). Pretty awesome cover. I was likely not even going to bother picking up this title but now I might just for this particular cover.

Love her or dislike her, I like this one.. Future State Gotham #5 (Cover B – Rose Besch Card Stock Variant)

Some of the best DC titles I think are the animated versions. Harley Quinn the Animated Series the Eat Bang Kill Tour #1 (of 6) (Cover A – Max Sarin) might be a good pickup I think. If the writing or story isn’t there, might still be worthy for the long haul.

I love Stokoe’s work. This is a ratio but it makes the list due to it’s awesomeness for Joker #7 (Cover D – 1:25 James Stokoe Variant).

    1. Agreed. I was liking the Thanos cover until you pointed out his leg and I took a closer look…now I can’t unsee it. The area above his knee looks very strange. I’ll still get the book though…maybe the 1:25 variant.
