Mythopolis #1 print run

Not sure if you were able to snag a copy of Mythopolis #1 from Ardden when it hit comic shops recently. It is a solid book with good art and story. It has a twist last page that made me excited for the next issue.

If you weren’t able to there is probably a good reason. Number 1 sold out of its print run of 3,000 copies pretty quickly. Solos story telling, heat from a limited edition early release, and small print run lead to sell outs.

There are a very few copies left on Amazon for $5.75 but hurry if you want them, they won’t last.

You can also find The UK signed exclusive version on Amazon for slightly (well a lot) more. The signed version had a print run of $250.

Mycomicshop.com has copies at $3.99 back in stock and has the variant as well.

  1. Hey guys,
I picked this one up after you guys ran the original ‘hot’ post regarding Mythopolis #1. I may have been a bit ambitious on this one, as I paid 6.95GBP (approx $12) each for X10 of:

ARDDEN ENTERTAINMENT’S MYTHOPOLIS #1 – UK EXCLUSIVE 2013 LONDON SUPER COMIC-CON ‘DANCER’ COVER – LIMITED TO 250 PRINT WORLWIDE-SIGNED BY ARTIST MARCO TURINI WITH COA
VERY EXCLUSIVE, VERY RARE, EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND!

Thinking back, I knew that I would regret not getting more, as one of my UK suppliers had 29 copies left from the London Comic-Con…that’s what being cheap does for you…

Currently, there’s one (ltd 250 ‘dancer’ version) on EBAY for BIN $45! But, since I now own (ok, I screwed the pooch a bit on this order…I forgot to change my shipping address from my APO address to my UK home address (so I paid double s/h on this order)…so I’ll have to wait until they actually arrive before I can say ‘I own’ them…) 0.04% of the entire population of the UK Exclusive, COA-SIGNED, ‘Dance’ variant, yea, I’m cool with that!

Then, I bought X9 of the regular ‘Dancer’ Covers for 2.75GBP (approx $5) each. This is only a Pilot, but they produced 6 different covers for this #1 issue: A politician. A disgraced cop. A dancer. A Japanese business tycoon. A journalist, and a conspiracy theorist, but I just liked the Dancer, so I spek’d pretty hard on that one!

From the publisher’s description: This book has been best described as The Godfather meets Aliens. Need we say more?

In the immortal words of the great one himself – Stan Lee: ‘NUFF SAID!

I must have been back in the states for a while when they had the London Super Con, otherwise I would have been in London DOING IT LARGE!

Anyway, I see a few issue-prices on EBAY starting to rise a bit, so maybe this title will be one of the: COMICSHEATINGUP! Harharhar…get it…CHU…the title of your blog…CHU..get it…C-H-U…comics…ur blog…ahhhhh forget it! …Sorry folks, but I just recently dug out my pristine copy of: BATMAN – THE KILLING JOKE, and I read it ‘AGAIN’, and man-o-man what a read…I almost physically rolled on the floor with laughter…AGAIN! That is such a great read…CLASSIC STORY-TELLING AT ITS BEST…IT REALLY IS! Just the way Batman chuckles at first, then I’m sure all it took was one more look at the Joker’s face, and that was it..GUT BUSTIN’ LAUGHTER! For all that actually HAVEN’T read THE KILLING JOKE (if there IS such a species), please grab a copy and read it. It doesn’t matter if it’s a 12th printing copy, just grab it and read it…YEA, AND TRY AND SING-A-LONG WITH THE JOKER’S ‘GO CRAZY’ SONG…ooo-laa-ooo…GO CRAZY! Man, that just crack’s me up!

Anyway (again), here’s a quick look on EBAY, as far as Mythopolis #1 ‘HOTNESS’!

    NJOY!

  2. I bought one copy the day it came out (that’s all my LCBS had) and sold it that same day for $19.99. At the time it was the only one listed on eBay. Either way it was a great flip, I wish they were all so easy.
