  3. I agree, this one and the eccc are going to do very well. Both are excellent signature SS candidates with the free space as well.

    1. Yes they are, which is why I have 4 of the ECCC/Comics Dungeon variant that I got ahead of time from the shop and want to pick up one of two of these as well. Only 900 copies or so of the ECCC/CD one as well. CBCS is going to be taking probably too much of my money at the end of this month.

  7. The movie news is icing on the cake. This issue was an extremely strong debut. I have no reason to beleive this series won’t continue to pick up readers and grow in value for a while.

  12. Oh, this seller is awesome. I bought 2 on their very first listing. Snagged two more, they noticed and refunded me S/H from the second one to send all together. Very cool of them, I was just gonna expect two packages since I bought at separate times. 🙂

  13. Wow. messaged the seller, told them will list more tomorrow morning and they list groups twice more today that I missed. Anyone know how to watch a completed item so you are alerted when it is re-listed? This is getting stupid and my patience is waning.

      1. Really like this one so damn happy. These two + at least two ECCC/CD vars + probably 1 or 2 regular covers (a or b) are going to look nice double signed and CBCS graded. Loved the book from a reader standpoint so glad it is as popular as it is. Happy to support awesome products.

      2. lol between Spider-Gwen and Descender, I think my Friday at the con will be spent going from booth to booth with a CBCS rep in tow, and my wallet crying for a while. At least until I get them back anyway haha.

  19. Wow these things are going fast, any idea why they are so hard to find? Was this just a super tiny run for the variant? I’m only seeing 1 seller for this.

      1. Ah….well that makes sense. Either way, by far my favorite variant, glad I grabbed a copy to go with the ECC cover.

      2. I got two copies at their store yesterday for cover but they are now limiting to one per customer. As a box holder they won’t give me anymore at cover. They are flying off the shelf at the store. I even called and asked for a handful of copies at markup, and they said no. Had to get on eBay and order more. ? I ordered 10 BAM covers too. We’ll see how they package. ?

      3. I signed up earlier today to 4ÇĢ mainly for their variant. This one has more of different look. Plus another SG isn’t bad I guess.

  23. I picked up one of these for cover at the LCS on Wednesday, but what can I say i got swept up in the hype and got 2 more. I also got 2 each of the EH variants.

  24. Picked one up because I really liked the cover… does anyone know the print run on this variant? If it was posted already I didn’t see it.

  25. This book is on fire. It’s selling way faster than the others. With a difference of only 500 between several print runs I wondered which would become the favorite, it appears this one is the most sought after.

  26. Print run on the Painted Vision is rumored to be 1000. With so many variants ranging from 500-1000 it became a wash until the masses spoke aka purchased the fastest.

      2. I’m surprised they’ve been raising it by a $1 so slowly. As fast as these been selling, they could of probably raised it a lot more by now. 🙂

  32. I just got a big order in from Midtown comics with Descender #1 and a bunch of other comics (many that are sold out), and every singe comic was damaged! Now my Descenders issue all have their corners bent and folded in towards the cover. I hope they will be able to fix the issue. Not a good day!

    2. They’re usually good about returns. Last time I got one in bad shape (it was actually beat up before shipment cause the packaging was perfect), they said to just send it back for refund (they were all out so couldn’t do any exchanges).

      1. That’s what bothers me so much is that many of the titles are sold out and I know they won’t be exchanged. Stuff happens, at least I was able to get on board with the Nate Powell and Rafael Albuquerque Variants.

      2. There’s been quite a bit of that going on as of late Poyo. I read a few other blogs and there are many folks getting books damaged pre shipment.

        1. Most of my orders recently have been good. The damaged one I had was from last summer. But yeah, getting a comic that’s clearly mishandled or damaged not by shipment sucks. They shouldn’t even pack those, maybe they’re hoping it’s more of a reader than a collector buying the comic.

  37. I was out today and decided to swing by the LCS, and I got another copy if this one at cover plus another copy of cover A and B just to be on the safe side.
