Olivia Munn cast as Psylocke in X-Men Apocalypse

In an awesome bit of casting, Olivia Munn has been cast as Betsy Braddock aka Psylocke in the upcoming X-Men Apocalypse movie.
CBR broke the story earlier.

Olivia Munn is bringing one of Marvel’s more popular mutants to life in 20th Century Fox’s “X-Men: Apocalypse,” as revealed by director Bryan Singer Monday on his personal Instagram account: “Excited to welcome @oliviamunn as Betsy Braddock! #Psylocke #XmenApocalypse #XMEN”
Munn is a familiar face to many fans of genre entertainment, having co-hosted G4’s “Attack of the Show!” from 2006 to 2010. Her acting resume has grown significantly in recent years, with roles in “Magic Mike,” “Deliver Us From Evil” and HBO’s “The Newsroom,” along with a brief appearance in “Iron Man 2.” She joins a cast including James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Evan Peters and Oscar Isaac as the titular villain.

Betsy Braddock first appeared in Captain Britain #8. She would then go on to become Psylocke in New Mutants Annual #2 and take the more familiar look in Uncanny X-Men #256. Expect prices to jump, copies of New Mutants Annual #2 are being snatched up.

  1. Meh. She is a poser gamer chick. Saw her at Comic Con. She gave no love to her fans. Thought she was too cool for school. Thumbs down.

  2. Yah, she is stupid too. Just because she is hot doesn’t mean this is a great casting choice. It is not.

  3. Regardless of her personality, she definitely looks the part. Now if she acts the part, that’s all that really matters.
