Batman #40 Combo Packs Cancelled in UK

Rumor going around is Diamond UK has cancelled all orders for Batman #40 Combo Packs going to the UK.
If this is true, it would be a good idea to try to track these down and select the global shipping option on eBay for your orders.
The combo packs have been notoriously low printed (arguments as to how low) but this looks like a book to sell and hold if you can.

  1. Got my hands on two of these preorder, one domestic and one UK…. Are these all the same… Do they all contain the same books? Or is it a gamble on which variants come in the package?

  2. I had pre-orders from forbidden planet.. Haven’t received any thing about a canceled order yet.. Not good

    1. Same here…doesn’t sound too good. Plus, Forbidden Planet has cancelled a few of my orders recently which just adds to the tension.

      1. Rumor confirmed. I just got an email from Forbidden Planet, Diamond UK will not be receiving any copies of this comic.

  3. Its true

We have been advised that due to a printing error, Diamond UK will not be receiving any copies of this comic. Unfortunately this means that we will not be receiving any stock of this comic and we have been unable to source these elsewhere to fulfil this part of your order.
Our apologies for the delay to informing you of this, we had hoped to complete this for you.
Regrettably this item on your order has been cancelled. Please be assured you’ve not been charged.
I’m sorry for any inconvenience caused by this cancellation.
    Kind Regards,

  4. Talking about Batman 40, do you know if the newsstand version will be worth picking up?

      1. I’m pretty sure that isn’t the case, Tony. DC raised the Batman cover price from 3.99 to 4.99 at the start of Endgame. Scott went back to DC and lobbied to have the cover price moved back to 3.99 and DC agreed but only changed the price after issue 35 and only changed it for the direct market (rumor is they simply forgot to change the newsstand price). Hence, for 36, 37, 38 & 39 there are direct vs newsstand price variants. However, with 40 direct being a 4.99 issue, I expect DC will just leave the newsstand price alone. I have 3 newsstand sets so far with 4 of 40 newsstands coming so I’ll know for sure on Wednesday.

  5. what kind of black magic sorcery is this ! i live in (mainland) Europe…. i HOPE my local comic shop dosent get their stuff from the UK first and then to here… like…what are the actual odds, im FINALLY excited for a Combo Pack variant, had one reserved and now this…. this comic is already confirmed for a second print, and im sure will end up having a 4th or 5th because of what happens in the comic…so… if anything, ill keep pickign up the additional prints… thatll make me satisfied

  6. My Forbidden Planet order has been cancelled!! Looks like I’m going to have to bribe a few of my American friends!!
