Think Outside the Toy Box: Arkham Knight Batman & more…

We all know the Arkham Knight video game coming out is going to be huge. So huge I might actually have to get the PS4 to play it. But before that happens I thought I would take moment to point out some of the playthings being released with the game.
The Arkham Knight series are DC Collectibles first series of 6 in figures which include Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, Batman, and Arkham Knight. The 4th installment definitely has Batman armored up. The Arkham Knight is just a bad to the bone militarized version of the Dark Knight, wearing the logo of the Arkham Asylum facility on his chest. This is a toned down, more girlish version of Harley. Don’t worry though; she is ready to deliver the final punch line on the Caped Crusader. And then there’s Scarecrow who is more frightening than ever, with signature syringe glove, brace on the left leg, and multiple canisters of a new fear toxin.
I was lucky enough to get my hands on Batman this past Wednesday. As soon as Arkham Knight comes out I plan to get him too. So stay tuned.
Here are the details on Batman unboxed. He comes with a zipline launcher, Batarang, and an extra hand for it. For around $22-$25 it has collector quality paint and sculpting but still has enough articulation to be a functional action figure. I do notice slight brush marks from the painting. I am not sure if that is intentional for effect or not. I do like that all the joints are stiff and the rubber cape is very flexible which allow for more complex and sturdy poses. He stands pretty well on his own. Overall I think DC Collectibles executed the complexity of the suit well. As a matter of fact it looks as if they did a good job on all the figures. I can’t wait for the Arkham Knight to come in.
Also in case you are new to the series or missed one here or there. DC is coming out with a Batman Arkham Knight Action Figure 5 Pack. It features Batman from each installment plus Bruce Wayne.

Another thing to note is for Batmobile fans. Hot Wheels added the Batmobile from the game to its Elite line and I must say she is a beaut.

    1. Thanks for the heads up. I need to do a better job remembering exclusives. People love Jason Todd.
