It would be an understatement to say there are going to be a ton of covers for Dark Knight III the Master Race #1. This is going to be a big book, both in size and sales. Expect this one to take the #1 slot for the month in both dollars and number of copies sold, unless Marvel pulls some trick to bump it into second place (they have done that before.) Anyway, our friends at ComicXposure.com ran a cover gallery showing off twenty-one of the covers.
You can check out the covers here and actually order all 21 of the covers from their site. Let us know which one you dig the most. The artists for the covers are a “who’s who” of illustrators, including Babs Tarr (Batgirl, on the ComicXposure cover above), Jae Lee, Bruce Timm, Brian Bolland, Matt Wagner (one of my all time favorite artists) and more.
All of the covers are sick covers but I myself just going to get the regular cover and not try to go all out on this book. To many variants for this book. Midtown also has some exclusive covers. And who knows if there’s going to be some store covers.
There is also a pretty awesome Legacy edition variant by Artgerm.

I am a fan of Artgerm
This is the only one I’ve ordered. I love it.
Is there a chance that this could end up being a million+ copies??? Just found this interesting tidbit on “Comic Chronicles” from a May 8 2014 Article: “The last million-seller on the strength of comics shop sales is very likely Batman #500, cover-dated October 1993 and on sale in August 1993, just before the market collapse.” If history repeats itself, prepare for the next comic market collapse…
Could be close:
Regular/Variant covers + store exclusive variants + subscription box variants (if any?)
Remember, the cover price for this series is higher than normal comics. Could deter some shops from ordering a lot.
Has J Scott Campbell ever drawn Batman before? I just saw his variant for DK III and I’m very tempted.
