Move over Walking Dead (not likely) there is a new batch of zombies potentially heading to AMC, and these ones are from the master of zombies himself, George Romero. We had mentioned a while back that Empire of the Dead was being made into a tv show. Now it looks like it could be going to AMC along with The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead.
Possibly that is. The news comes out of Wizard World where Arthur Suydam, who may have been speaking out of turn during an interview, stated the show would be going to AMC.

George Romero’s Empire of the Dead
, the iconic horror director’s zombie comic book set in New York City, is headed to AMC as a TV series, according to zombie artist Arthur Suydam, who provides covers for the comic.
The news comes as part of a local news story looking at Wizard World Louisville, in which Suydam is one of a couple of people briefly interviewed.
Holding up a copy of the comic for the camera, Suydam said that he had just finished work on the series and that “This just got signed by AMC, so it’s going to be the next, big zombie series on AMC.”
The first issue of Empire of the Dead has dropped back down to about $10, but this could pick up if the rumor is true.

Yes, but they’re no big deal anymore.
I love the book. I’ve been reading it since issue one act 1. Act 3 has gotten a lil slow but I like the mix of vampires in it because if there are zombies why is it a hard stretch for vampires. Anyone else still reading it?

Double yikes. I almost jumped on the series in the beginning but decided against it, I figured nothing else could get close to the walking dead in terms of zombie enjoyment.
Great news. I love the first arc of this series. Vampires vs zombies and a zombie vampire. Niceeeee…..
I don’t remember where I saw it, but there was a cartoon that had vampires and werewolves fighting. A werewolf would bite a vampire and turn them into w were-pire and the vampires would bite werewolves and turn them into vamp-wolves. Need to see more of that creativity.
