Comics Picks of the Week for Delivery 11/25/15

Each week hundreds of new comics hit the shelves, each with potential. Some live up to that potential. We pick the ones we feel have the best shot at heating up. Here are our picks of the week for deliver 11/25/15:

The Juggernaut
Dark Knight III Master Race– Frank miller is a legend, and hoping that this will be better than Dark Knight II. However, some spoilers have been leaked that make this interesting. There are a ton of variants (I am picking up the Third Eye Set as it is done by Killing Joke artist Brian Bolland) but the regular first issue should not be passed up.

The Returning Hot New Books
Self Storage #2– My favorite of the 451 launch books. I know people are tired of zombies but this is a fresh take for me. First issue had a low print run, second to be even lower (hopefully, unless retailers are grabbing on because of the spec demand of the 1st.)

Straightjacket #2– Again, small print run that shot up in price instantly. The second issue will have the lower print run, and coupled with the fact that copies went missing makes this a must pick up if you can find it.

Returning Favorites
Black Magick #2– The first issue really left an impression on me. Can’t wait for the second issue!

Saga #31– Like Walking Dead, will always be on the list.

Rumble #9– This one has been added to the list because it is such a good read. Great fantasy done right.

Blood Feud #2– Cullen Bunn is no stranger to media attention, so I could see this down south vampire story being optioned. Plus the horror homage covers are great.

The Pick of the Week
Ringside #1– Go figure a new Image. I am not a wrestling fan, but this look at the industry has me fascinated.

For the Book Shelf
Sons of the Devil TPB– The book is currently in limbo, but you should not pass up this good read. Interesting concept played out very well.

J. Scott Campbell Time Capsule– People love Campbell’s work and I can see a demand for this book down the line.

      1. Ok, that’s what I read also. I thought you had heard something new. I know sales haven’t been stellar. Hopefully the trade sales are strong. It’s a story that’s worth telling.
