JTC’s negative space variant is up for sale for $10 on his site.
By ordering one of these you would be able to get in on the Poe Dameron black and white action figure variants coming out this Friday.
From JTC’s e-Mail

I have long been a fan of Coles Phillips and his negative space style of art, and my ode to him is evident in the negative space pieces I’ve designed previously both publicly and privately. If you’re not familiar with him, you should check him out! I’ve been wanting to continue my series of negative space MARVEL art and the ability to move these onto covers seemed like a perfect match. There are already more in the works for different characters and books, but I was challenged right out the gate with pretty much the most difficult character for this style (THANK YOU, new vibranium charged suit, for making this possible).
The first book to be released is Black Panther #1!
Everyone who has bought from me in the past will be eligible for 1 copy during the Pre-Pre Sale (like we did last time), which will start on Tuesday, March 8th at 12:00 noon EST. This is similar to what we did with the pre-pre sale of Boba Fett black and white. The actual Pre-Sale of the book will open to the public on Tuesday, March 8th at 6pm EST. It’s going to be limited in quantity, and will be sold for $10 – limit 20 per order. If you haven’t bought from me in the past and you pick one up before 6:00am on Wednesday, March 9th, you will receive an email later that day that makes you eligible to get in on the Pre-Pre Sale of our next book…

  1. Hoping for a 9.8, but boy it’s likely tough with the all-black cover. Fingers crossed.

  2. Who knows how well the B&W Poe Dameron cover will do. JTC may have spoiled some customer relationships on the Boba kerfuffle. In addition, the action figure cover has become commonplace during the interim. We’ll see if there’s a rush on Poe like there was with Boba.
For the time-being it looks like Black Panther sales are slow.
Just FYI, based on the Boba exclusives, probably a 5,000 print run on Black Panther. Probably a 3,000 print run on Poe.

    1. I’m putting together two complete sets (of at least the colored versions) of all the Star Wars action figure variants. One for PC and one to be sold later most likely. Depending on price for the Poe BW variant, I’m not too hard up on obtaining it. I passed on the Boba Fett BW. I still need to hunt down another cheap color Boba though.

  3. I’ll pass on this. Didn’t like how his past sales were handled. Was only a frustrating waste of my time trying to order one book. Not going to go through that again.

    1. I was able to order with ease. I don’t think this one was as heavily sought after as the Boba Fett BW… I love Black Panther though, so it was a must for the PC.

    1. What in the world is your issue? It was a fiasco and should have been handled better, but it wasn’t. Grow up kid.

      1. Not to beat the dead horse but yeah, it could and should of been handled better. I can’t complain too much about the Boba Fett BW, I was asleep.. sleep was way more important than that over hyped second print book. 😉
Seems this Black Panther order was way smoother but then again, probably less demand than Boba.

  4. I had no problems with the Boba Fett order last time….got the copies I wanted with ease.

    1. I’m hoping for more Poe in the next movie as well. I want big things out of this character, cause the short amount of time we saw him in the last movie, he was still a bad ass fight pilot.
