Grant Morrison's 'Klaus' Optioned

Is Grant Morrison’s Klaus being optioned for a movie. Possibly if Bleeding Cool is to be believed.
Klaus is Grant Morrison’s Santa Year One story featuring the origin of Santa Claus. Copies of Klaus #1 are fairly cheap and can be easily found. A few copies closed after the news, especially the lower priced variants, including the 1:100 variant.
From Bleeding Cool:

Bleeding Cool understands from certain people close to writer Grant Morrison that Fox has optioned his comic book Klaus for development as a feature film.
Published by Boom! and drawn by Dan Mora, Klaus tells the warrior origin of the man who would won day be Father Christmas.
Boom! Studios have an ongoing relationship with Fox, with a first look deal with Twentieth Century Fox TV. But this would be for something a little… cinematic.
Boom! declined comment when approached last night. Grant Morrison did not return e-mails.

  1. Nice! Great miniseries that would be fairly easy to make into an action packed good v evil flick.

  2. Ooh.. let’s see how much that special super HTF 1:100 cover B variant goes for if this follows through? And yes, Poyo was able to snag one at cover.. people actually passed it up and grabbed regular cover A..

  3. I’ve had my copy up there for MONTHS and nothing. Got hit with 5 offers this morning after the news broke. But I may have an off-eBay buyer…

    1. One cover to look out for is the #1 3rd print. Variant cover and hard to find, even harder than the 2nd print. I don’t recall any of my local shops getting the 3rd print. Midtown and a bunch of other online retailers seem to be sold of them as well.

      1. one seller on ebay has multiple copies of the 3rd print available for $2.59 each.

  4. Woo hoo! Sold my 1:100. I was afraid I was never going to unload it. My profit was small, and I missed out on a bigger payday early on, but at least it wasn’t a loss and I made my money back. lol

  5. I figured something was up, got two offers while I was at the gym for mine that’s been listed since Comic Store Day, and then checked my phone to see it sold buy it now. Neat.

    1. Yeah, mine had been listed for a while as well. Sometimes it’s all about the timing!
