What up CHU? Mel V back with another edition of Future Hits from the Kick(starter). Its been a while since I did one of these and I want to apologize to any up and coming creators that I may have missed out on. Giving up and coming creators some free exposure has always been a passion of mine and I admit I’ve been slacking on doing that, so I’m going to try to do these articles a bit more frequently. But anyway, lets get in to it…

Brief Description: “Blood Moon” is a period action-suspense story about a man named Drake who leads a team of elite werewolf hunters that are part of a secret order ran within the Vatican in Rome. They must track and kill the centuries-old, first-created werewolf before it can raise a new army in 1736 colonial Massachusetts and unleash hell on earth.
Why Mel, Why? – Because Werewolves are awesome, but seriously, the first thing I was drawn to was the darker style of art which I think this is perfect for this type of story and project. After I heard the pitch, I was intrigued. I like these guys’ passion and I would like for this to do well. Check em out

C.H.A.R.L.13 – An Apocalyptic Western Comic Book
“C.H.A.R.L.13” #1 is a 26-page comic book written by Fines Massey and Chris Burgess and drawn by Kristofor Harris. The book takes place in a future America where a war between humans and a group of invading bull-like aliens called the Taurox has left the Western portion of the country in ruins. Our hero, C.H.A.R.L.13 (or Charlie) is tasked with patrolling the Taurox’s zone like an old west marshal, keeping the Taurox in check while looking for any straggler humans who were supposed to have moved to the Eastern Safe Zone of America, which is everything East of the Mississippi River. The book begins several years into Charlie’s task as he contemplates giving up on his duties.

Why Mel, Why?- SCI FI meets Western ..I was intrigued by the premise of a peace keeping robot searching for human survivors in a post-apocalyptic war times. I would like to read how the relationship plays out between the two main characters

In the aftermath of the first atomic bomb drop on Hiroshima, an elite squad of Marines is ordered to infiltrate a Nagasaki hospital. Their mission: discover the secret of a new biological weapon. With the next bomb racing their way, the team will have to remain “swift, silent, deadly,” to survive hordes of infected locals who hunger for human flesh.
