We open things up to hear from you. A free for all.

Anyone going to Baltimore Comic Con this weekend? Seriously one of the best shows on the East Coast!

  1. 3 random different thoughts about comics:
    Hot comic tomorrow: Gotta get there early tomorrow, there will be a line. They (and me) will be looking for Hillbilly 3, luckily I have the shop holding 1 for me at least. It is tomorrow it comes out right?
    New Book I really like that no one seems to be talking about: The Thunderbolts. Can’t wait for the next one. It’s awesome!
    Most undervalued back issue IMO: Tales of Suspense 48. It’s only the 1st appearance of Iron Man in his red and gold armor. Still an affordable book. Crazy.

      2. It says out of stock. Who knows maybe they were temporarily available, but if that was really the price then that explains why they are out of stock. That couldn’t have lasted long.
        Keep in mind, no matter who’s selling them, there are only so many and it’s a low print run. Grab those up!
        Bummer it’s not out tomorrow, I guess it’s actually 9/16. I don’t know where I got the idea it was tomorrow.

  4. I didn’t realize that there were no Rebirth titles tomorrow. Does anyone know if there are any companies that make storage boxes for graded comics?

  5. Excuse my rant. Aspen comics is the WORST comic retailer there is out there. I have bought many Harley #1 and Suicide Squad #1 store exclusives I’ve received all of them except Aspen comics, some from as far away as the UK and Canada I’ve already received. Not only did Aspen refuse to combine shipping on my 3 orders they still have never shipped them even though the books have been out for over a month. This is due to Aspen’s greed increasing print runs and not being able to hold up to their ship dates because of the added labor. Because I still have never received any shipping info or any response to where my 3 damn orders are from Aspens joke of a customer service I had to put the 3 orders in a paypal dispute and demand my books to be shipped. Instead of telling me when they were going to ship my books, They refunded all my orders and sent no response or explanation whatsoever on why they cancelled my orders. I woke up twice at 6 am to place these Fn orders. If I ever attend a con that Aspen is at, you will hear about it. The CHU headline will say ” Crazy Lady destroys Aspen comics con table and led off in handcuffs after throwing used tampons out Aspen employees” This is by far the worst comic buying and online purchase I’ve ever had and will never deal with Aspen again no matter how many ugly Turner sketches get destroyed by Peter Steigerwald and called Turner covers.

  6. Wow Harley #1 Pink Dell Otto selling for over $300 now sold mine with the color and BW as well $200 for the set still have one Pink left I kept for the personal copy. Some people got variant fatigue too early and passed on this, it was available for purchase at MSRP for a whole week at $40 now above $300

        1. I sold mine as well. Had them in my possession for 48 hours before they were gone. Was very tempted to grade them as Poyo had also mentioned doing.

    Got all of my 1973 Steranko Supergirls calendar prints signed by the legend himself on Sunday. The full set will be framed and on the wall by the weekend 😀

    1. Funny thing is I am a big Danzig and Samhain fan. My older brother for the skull tattoo years ago when he was in college. He is a lawyer now. It always cracks me up that I call it his comic book tattoo and the only comic he owns is Crystar 8 (thanks to me)

Bleeding cool is saying tim drake does not appear in any discerption after 941 nor cover, so my question is does the first app of tim drake rise in value or drop in value if they kill him off? Part of me belives if they kill him off he will come back as something else sorta like nightwing or red hood. What u think will happen to the first app?

    I went to a couple of stores I don’t get to very often, and in one of them the owner was going off about “speculators”. It made me laugh, it’s a great shop and he knows his comics but I guess he doesn’t like speculators that much.
    I got an email today about about my pre-order for Rick and Morty Lil Poopy #2 it said that it was canceled because of a printing error. I know I only saw it in one store last week, it may be something to look out for.
    I am planning on going to Baltimore Comic Con next year, no time to plan for it this year.

  15. Just a heads up, Civil War #5 Trudeau Variant is selling for $16+ with shipping on the bay. It was all over my nations news casts this evening and it seems to have caused some uproar up here. Not sure how long it will last, but sell em if ya got em!

    1. I did a signing a while ago with Mike Hawthorne. He did a kick ass sketch for me in a phantom variant Deadpool book. Guy is 100% class act. He loves his child (daughter) as much as u love and cherish my kids.

    Anyone get Kim and Kim 2 wednesday? bleedingcool says it came out and CBR has it coming out on the 31st too.
