    1. Won’t really know until another month or so. But all I know is, my comic shop had probably just 30 to 40 copies available total. I’m gonna guess it’s gonna be in the 50-60k range.

      1. Jock is going to be at MondoCon here in Austin in a few weeks.. you know what I’ll be doing right? 🙂

  1. Substitues such as reprints may reduce chance of first edition increasing in price when publishers try to maximize revenue.

    1. I think in this case, the 1st prints are the ones that are going to be more in demand then the 2nd print. Just my opinion.

  2. Hey Tony, when u where talking with Snyder, did u ask him when the 2nd arc of wyches is going to come or was it a singe arc mini story?

    1. They are doing single arc mini series but it is a continuation of the story. He did not say exactly when but for some reason early next year sticks out in my head.

  3. On one hand I’m extremely burnt-out on Millar and his writing. On the other hand, I love Capullo’s artwork. Plus, this may have flip value in the future? I’m torn on whether to buy it or pass.

    1. I boycotted Millar, but I did break my own boycott to buy these. I might even read it.. I did skim so far, art is of course awesome.

        1. Exactly right on the speculation. It’s best guess. You have to do what you feel comfortable doing. Don’t want to bet on a book or creator then do not do it. Always go wth the gut feeling. And, too not sound full of cliches as this response I am writing seems to be, it’s better to miss out on a profit then lose on a book that doesn’t sell.

  4. I read it and thought it was really good. Definitely a little less abstract as Seven to Eternity but still an alien Sci-fi setting. Maybe it just resonates with me more right now because I lost my mother 2 years ago, my grandmother last year, and my dad’s health is becoming a point of worry.
Capullo’s art is fantastic and it was such a smooth read I was surprised when I got to the final page (Was reading digitally) I was still ready for more. I went back to Midtown and ordered some more copies and I may pass this one along to my wife.

  5. Just had mine delivered from Forbidden Planet, flicked through and yes the Capullo art is amazing, so (unusually for me) I don’t really care if it’s yet another Millar by-the-numbers plot and dialogue!

  6. With a print run of around 100k, that makes the NYCC Convention exclusive the lowest printed variant of this book. The NYCC sketch variant has a reported print run of 500 copies which should be by far the rarest of all the covers and the one to get! They are still pretty cheap, so pick them up before it dries up and the price skyrockets.
Capullo art, and a movie already signed up! This one is a winner!

    1. My 4 nycc copies are already gone – 1 week – and for alot. Id say that’s pretty hot indeed. Every single year at nycc image has 500 copies of a book and theyre always hot directly thereafter

      1. Some come crashing down after an initial spike comic con weekend. This one has defied the trend, stayed low initially and has doubled since.

  7. this was an awesome read. loved it and the art is killer. millar is one of the greatest writters in comic book history . the n.y.c.c. macfarline joc and 1 in 100 covers are the ones to snag and hold and flip. maybe I should take a field trip to texas and do an interview with joc for a future episode of awesomesauce comix
