Trending on Facebook, Anne Rice announced on her Facebook Page that she has regained the film rights to her Vampire Chronicles novels and will be developing them for a TV show. The Comic adaptations could see some love as a result.
Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles; Interview with the Vampire, Vampire Lestat, Queen of the Damned, and others, were very popular in the late 1990’s and were each turned into a movie. Rice has stated that she will be writing a tv series with her son based off them.
Rice mentioned that she wanted to do the series “Game of Thrones” style, being faithful adaptations that are “epic and sprawling.”
Innovation released a series of comics based off the books that can be found fairly cheap. The Vampire Lestat was released in 1989, Interview with the Vampire released in 1991, Queen of the Damned #1 was also released in 1991. All three can be found on Amazon for around $3 too.
